Highlights

Adaptive active noise cancellation adjusts to your surroundings and fit, helping reduce distractions as you move between a busy commute, an open office, and a quieter room. The over-ear oval cups use memory foam and are shaped to provide additional room around the ears, a useful detail for extended listening. Buyers frequently praise the sound, noise cancellation, comfort, and fit, feedback about connectivity and reliability is mixed.

For music and other audio, the 40 mm silk-and-ceramic drivers support Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless, with LDAC. That combination is suited to listeners who want detailed playback from compatible wireless sources as well as a comfortable everyday headset. Three built-in microphones with AI noise reduction are designed to help separate your voice from background sound during calls, including in cafés or shared workspaces.

Battery life is listed at up to 50 hours with ANC on or up to 80 hours with ANC off. A 10-minute quick charge adds up to 10 hours of playback, which can be handy before heading out. Use the soundcore app for available options including HearID, EQ modes, Spatial Audio, adjustable ANC settings, and software updates.

Everyday use

The Q31i supports both wireless and wired listening, so it can suit different routines without making the headphones a single-purpose accessory. Pair over Bluetooth with a phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, or gaming console, or use the 3.5 mm audio connection for a wired setup. Bluetooth range is listed as 15 meters. When moving between home, work, and travel, the foldable construction makes the over-ear headphones easier to store.

A practical example is taking a call in a shared office and then switching back to music for the commute. Adaptive ANC helps manage surrounding sound, while the built-in microphones and app controls support calls and listening adjustments. For someone choosing between basic wired headphones and a feature-rich wireless model, the Q31i adds ANC, app-based sound options, and the flexibility to connect by cable.
