Smilyan HC14 Filter E Humidifier Wick Replacement, Blue Mesh, 2-Pack
Product description
Getting the most from it
If your Honeywell humidifier uses an HC-14 or Filter E wick, this replacement is made for a range of compatible models, including the HCM-6009, HCM-6011, HEV-680, and HEV-685 series. Matching the filter to your humidifier model helps you choose the right replacement for its wicking system and keep the unit ready for regular use.
The wick captures minerals and impurities from the humidifier’s water, while the blue pre-filter layer helps trap larger particles. It is a practical replacement for owners who want to maintain a compatible humidifier rather than switch to a different setup. The package includes two filters, so you have a second replacement on hand.
Pros
The layered design gives this filter two roles: the wicking material captures minerals and impurities in the water, and the blue mesh pre-filter helps catch larger particles. Its design is intended to support moisture output, making it a useful choice when replacing a worn wick in a compatible humidifier.
Compatibility covers several Honeywell series and individual models, including HC-14V1, HC-14, HC-14N, HCM-6011i, HCM-6011WW, HCM-6012i, HCM-6013i, HEV-680B, HEV-680W, HEV-685B, and HEV-685W. The listed compatibility also includes HM-3500, HM-3600, SCM-3500, and SCM-3600 series. Check your humidifier’s model designation against this list before choosing a replacement.
The filter is made from paper, with a blue mesh pre-filter layer, and the paper is described as FSC-certified. Buyers express mixed views on both functionality and filter quality: some report that it works well, while others find its performance or quality only moderate. The two-filter pack offers a spare for a later replacement.
