SIMMAX 32GB USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive, Purple, Capless 360° Cover

The 360-degree swivel cover keeps the USB connector covered without a separate cap to misplace. This purple SIMMAX drive provides 32GB of storage for moving or keeping everyday files. Its USB 2.0 connection is intended for compatible USB ports. The listed read and write speeds help set expectations for transfers.

Size & fit

At 0.43 inches deep, 0.83 inches wide, and 2.44 inches high, this is a compact drive designed to be carried alongside other everyday items. The metal clip rotates around the ABS plastic body, so the connector can be covered when the drive is not plugged in. That capless design may be useful for carrying files between a laptop and another compatible device without keeping track of a separate cap.

It’s a great fit if you want a small, single-drive option for documents, photos, music, or other files you need to move or keep accessible. The product details list laptop compatibility, and the manufacturer description also names Windows, Mac OS, and Linux systems. Compatibility can depend on the computer and its available USB port, so the listed USB 2.0 interface is the key connection detail to match.

Why it makes sense

The 32GB capacity gives this drive room for a collection of ordinary files without adding a larger storage device to your setup. The manufacturer notes that the available space will appear lower than the advertised capacity, listing approximately 28.8GB to 30.2GB depending on its description. That difference reflects the stated usable capacity, rather than a second storage tier. The drive is supplied in FAT32 format, the manufacturer says NTFS is compatible with Windows but only partly compatible with Mac OS.

Buyer feedback is positive about the purple color, compact size, and storage capacity, but experiences with function and transfer speed are mixed. Some buyers say it works for everyday transfers, while others report recognition problems or slow speeds. There are also reports of early failure and file issues. Those accounts are not a substitute for a product guarantee, but they matter if the drive would hold the only copy of important files. Keeping a separate backup is prudent for any removable storage.

Compared with a basic capped flash drive, the swivel body avoids a loose cap and adds a rotating metal clip. Compared with storage intended for demanding, sustained transfers, this model’s USB 2.0 interface and listed speeds make it a more straightforward choice for everyday file carrying than for prioritizing transfer speed. Not the best choice if your main requirement is a documented high-speed connection or a sole storage location for important data.

Before you decide

How much storage space can I expect to see? The drive is advertised as 32GB, while the manufacturer lists usable capacity of approximately 28.8GB to 30.2GB. The computer’s display may vary with formatting and how capacity is reported.

Which computers are listed as compatible? The manufacturer names Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, and says the drive works with USB 2.0 and earlier. The product details specifically list a laptop as a compatible device.

Is it suited to frequent large transfers? Its listed speeds are 18 MB/s read and 9–11 MB/s write. Those figures are useful to consider if transfer time matters, the mixed buyer feedback on speed also suggests experiences may differ.

Is it worth it?

This SIMMAX drive makes sense for carrying everyday files when a compact USB 2.0 stick, 32GB advertised capacity, and capless swivel cover match the need. Its listed speeds are clear, but feedback on performance and reliability is not uniformly positive. Choose it for convenient file transport rather than relying on it as the only copy of important data or selecting it solely for fast transfers.
