Ryobyo 8-Gallon Drawstring Trash Bags, 1.5 Mil HDPE, Unscented, 90-Count

Line a medium kitchen, bathroom, or office wastebasket with a bag sized for an 8-gallon can. These Ryobyo liners use a built-in drawstring to close the bag and lift it out when it is full.

The 1.5 mil HDPE film is tear resistant, giving the bag a sturdier feel for everyday household waste, including items with hard or sharp edges.

Prefer a quick closure over tying the top by hand? Pull the drawstring to cinch the bag shut, then use it as a carrying handle.

Best use cases

These 8-gallon bags are made for medium trash cans in kitchens, bathrooms, and offices. Their 21.7 by 27.6-inch size is intended for standard 8- to 9-gallon cans, so they suit bins where a larger liner may bunch around the rim. Use them for routine household waste, bathroom trash, or paper waste from an office shredder.

For example, a medium kitchen step can can be lined for daily use, then emptied by pulling the drawstring together and lifting the bag by its closure. They also work for smaller wastebaskets around the home when an 8-gallon size fits the bin.

Benefits

The drawstring is molded into the HDPE bag rather than attached as a separate piece. Pulling it gathers the opening in one motion, so you can close the bag without twisting or tying it by hand. The same drawstring serves as a handle for carrying the filled liner out of the can.

At 1.5 mil thick, the tear-resistant film is suited to waste that may include hard corners or sharp edges. That makes these bags a practical choice for kitchen and office bins where a thin liner can be less reassuring to lift. The unscented material also avoids adding perfume to household waste, a useful detail for people who prefer fragrance-free trash bags.

What to know

Each bag holds 8 gallons and is made from high-density polyethylene. The white bags measure 21.7 by 27.6 inches and are designed for medium cans in the 8- to 9-gallon range. Matching the liner to the bin size helps it sit around the rim without the excess material associated with an oversized bag.

The package contains 90 bags on three individually wrapped rolls, with 30 bags per roll. The rolls can be stored separately, making it convenient to keep a supply near different bins around the home or office. The bags are unscented and have a built-in drawstring closure.

Should you buy it?

Choose these Ryobyo bags if your priority is a medium-size liner that combines an integrated drawstring, fragrance-free HDPE, and 1.5 mil tear-resistant film. They offer a different approach from a basic bag that needs to be twisted or tied: the closure gathers the opening and doubles as a handle for removal. With 90 bags across three rolls, they’re well suited to regularly lining medium kitchen, bathroom, and office wastebaskets.
