Pentel EnerGel RTX Pearl BLN75WCHABP5M Gel Pens, 0.5mm Needle Tip, 5-Pack

For color-coded notes, detailed sketches, or everyday writing, the Pentel EnerGel RTX Pearl Expressions Pack pairs assorted ink colors with a fine 0.5mm needle tip. Its liquid gel ink is designed to dry quickly, helping keep notes cleaner for left- and right-handed writers. The pack includes five pens for switching between colors as you work.

What you’ll notice day to day

The fine needle tip makes this set suited to precise writing, small details, and coloring, while the gel ink provides a smooth-writing format for lists, annotations, and creative projects. Quick-drying ink is especially useful when you write with your left hand or move quickly between lines, since it helps reduce smearing. A ribbed grip offers a secure-feeling hold, and the retractable design lets you protect the tip between uses without a separate cap.

The assorted inks add a practical alternative to buying a single-color gel pen: use different colors to separate notes, mark up a page, or add variety to a drawing. The pens are also refillable with EnerGel refills, so you can replenish a favorite color instead of replacing the whole pen. Buyers highlight the smooth ink flow and consistent writing, including for detailed lettering and work such as nursing notes.

The essentials

This is a five-count set of Pentel EnerGel gel pens with 0.5mm fine needle tips and assorted ink colors. The ink is water-based, and the pens are designed for writing, drawing, sketching, and coloring. Their latex-free comfort grips support longer writing sessions, while stainless steel accents and sleek barrels give the set a polished look for a desk, notebook, or creative workspace. The construction uses 54% recycled plastic as part of Pentel’s Recycology line.

For a practical everyday scenario, keep the pens beside a planner or notebook and use the different inks to distinguish tasks, reminders, and quick sketches. The fine point helps keep those marks neat, and the retractable format is convenient when moving between pages or putting a pen away. It’s a great fit if you want several gel ink colors in one set, along with a fine point for both writing and detail work.

Everyday use

The retractable tips make the pens straightforward to use during short note-taking sessions or longer stretches of writing. The ribbed grip and quick-drying liquid gel ink are useful details when a steady hold and clean-looking pages matter. For creative tasks, the same fine point works for sketching and coloring as well as written notes, so the set can move between a planner, journal, and drawing pad.
