Pawmate Chicken Jerky Dog Treats, 10.6 oz, with Taurine

Chicken breast baked at a low temperature gives Pawmate Chicken Jerky Strips a savory format dogs can enjoy as a training reward. The strips contain taurine and are described as high in protein and low in fat. Use them on their own or mix them into your dog’s food. The bag holds 10.6 oz of treats.

Key takeaways

These chicken jerky treats are made with chicken breast and include 1% taurine. They are also described as grain-free, rawhide-free, and made without added sugar, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. That combination makes them a straightforward choice for owners looking for a chicken-based reward with a limited-ingredient profile.

The stick-style treats are intended for training and dental care. Chewing naturally helps reduce plaque and tartar buildup, according to the product’s stated benefits. Buyer feedback often highlights dogs’ interest in the taste, while opinions on texture and chewiness vary. Some buyers also report digestive upset after feeding, introduce any new treat thoughtfully and pay attention to your dog’s response.

Everyday use

Keep the strips handy during training to reward your dog as you work on cues and routines. Their chicken flavor also makes them useful as an occasional reward outside a training session. For another serving option, the jerky can be mixed with your dog’s regular food, adding a chicken treat to mealtime.

The product is positioned for dental care as well as rewarding. Its jerky form offers a different approach from a biscuit-style treat, with the chewing action being part of its intended use. Treats are a complement to your dog’s usual food, not a replacement for a complete diet. The stated high-protein, low-fat profile and taurine content may also matter to owners comparing ingredient and nutrient claims when choosing a reward.

Who it’s for

Pawmate lists these treats for small, medium, and large dogs, so they suit households looking for one chicken-jerky option across different breed sizes. They may be a fit for training routines where a meat-based reward is preferred, or for owners who want the option to crumble or mix a treat into food. The strip format differs from small, uniform biscuits, choose it when a chicken jerky reward fits your dog’s routine and chewing preferences.
