Nicpro 0.5 mm Art Mechanical Pencil Set, 6 Metal Pencils with HB Refills

The 0.5 mm lead size gives these Nicpro mechanical pencils a fine point for notes, diagrams, and detailed sketching. Their metal-and-plastic construction and knurled grips distinguish them from basic all-plastic pencils.

The set includes six pencils, six tubes of HB lead, three 4B erasers, 18 cap eraser refills, and a plastic storage case. That combination keeps writing and correction supplies together for school, desk, or studio use.

There is a reliability caveat in buyer feedback: while many describe the pencils as sturdy and smooth-writing, others report failures with the lead-feed mechanism or metal tip. That mixed feedback is worth weighing if dependable daily use matters most.

Key features

The 0.5 mm HB lead is intended for writing, drafting, drawing, and sketching. A retractable design and click-advance lead make the pencils practical for switching between note-taking and marking up diagrams, while the knurled grip offers a textured hold. The pencils are listed as ambidextrous, and the rounded bodies come in black.

The included supplies make this more than a set of bare pencils: six lead tubes provide refills, and the soft 4B erasers and cap eraser refills give you correction options. For a student moving between class notes, math work, and a sketchbook, the case can keep the pencils and spares in one place. Buyers often praise the smooth HB writing and usefulness for everyday tasks, but reports about reliability are mixed, so the kit’s quantity does not guarantee that every pencil will remain trouble-free.

Best use cases

This set suits fine-line work where a consistent 0.5 mm point is useful, such as written notes, planners, school assignments, light drafting, and sketching. It also offers a ready supply of lead and erasers for a shared desk or a student’s pencil case. Compared with choosing a single mechanical pencil, the six-pencil format provides spares and keeps extra supplies on hand, someone who prioritizes one dependable drafting instrument may prefer to evaluate individual pencils instead.

Who it’s for

It’s a great fit if you want several refillable pencils for school, everyday writing, or drawing, along with lead and eraser refills in a carry case. The metal body and knurled grip may appeal to people who prefer a more substantial drafting-style pencil to a lightweight basic model. Buyers describe the set positively for appearance and general writing, while some raise concerns about parts failing after limited use. Not the best choice if you need reliability without the possibility of lead-feed or tip problems.

Final verdict

Choose this Nicpro set when having several 0.5 mm pencils and their refills together matters more than buying a single instrument. Its assortment supports everyday writing and sketching, but buyer reports of inconsistent durability make it a less reassuring pick for anyone who needs a pencil they can count on for uninterrupted, long-term drafting.
