Cricut 2012608 Multi Pen Set, Black Fine and Gel Pens, 6 Count

Paper crafts often call for both fine lettering and more prominent accents. The Cricut 2012608 Multi Pen Set brings two black pen styles together for cards, invitations, decorations, and handwritten messages.

Why choose one line weight when a project can use both? Three 0.4 mm fine-point pens handle detailed writing, while three 1.0 mm gel pens offer another style for lettering and drawing.

Use the pens freehand for a personal touch or create designs in Design Space with compatible Cricut machines. The set is optimized for Cricut Explore, Cricut Maker, and Cricut Venture.

Benefits

With two tip styles in one set, you can vary the look of a paper project without switching to a different ink color. Use the fine-point pens for smaller lettering or detail work, then bring in the gel pens for a different line style on headings, decorative marks, or larger handwritten messages. Both styles use black ink, keeping the design consistent while giving you options in how it appears.

The set suits projects where writing is part of the finished design, such as greeting cards, event invitations, holiday cards, paper crafts, and decor. For example, you could add a fine handwritten message to a card and use the gel pen for a more visible decorative element. Buyers often praise the dark ink and range of tip sizes, feedback on pen longevity and machine fit is mixed.

Key features

The six-piece set contains three fine-point pens with 0.4 mm tips and three gel pens with 1.0 mm tips. The water-based, acid-free ink is described as nontoxic and permanent after drying. The pens are intended for writing, drawing, and coloring on paper, and can be used freehand or with Design Space to create custom designs. For machine-assisted projects, the listed compatible families are Cricut Explore, Cricut Maker, and Cricut Venture.

This combination offers an alternative to choosing a set with only one tip style: you get fine and gel options in the same black color, making it easier to vary lettering within a single project. Choose the pen style based on the detail and visual weight you want for each part of the design.

Usage tips

For small writing and intricate details, start with a 0.4 mm fine-point pen. Choose a 1.0 mm gel pen when you want to change the line style or make lettering more prominent. The pens are designed for paper projects, so they are a natural fit for cards, invitations, decor, and other paper crafts. For a handwritten finish, use them freehand, for designed layouts, create your artwork in Design Space and use a compatible Cricut machine.
