Mighty Apricot Organic Bitter Apricot Kernels, Raw, 16 Oz

What stands out

The 16 oz resealable bag gives you raw bitter apricot kernels in a format suited to keeping on hand for measured use in recipes or as directed on the package.

Mighty Apricot describes these kernels as USDA Organic, non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free. They are minimally processed and unpasteurized, with no artificial additives or preservatives listed. The kernels are grown and processed in Turkey at a facility that follows Good Manufacturing Practices.

Their naturally bitter, numbing taste makes them distinct from mild-tasting seeds or nuts. Choose them when you want that characteristic flavor in a recipe, for a snack with a familiar, mild taste, a different ingredient may suit you better.

Buyers often mention freshness and the generous bag size. Taste feedback is mixed: some find the kernels pleasant or manageable, while others find them too bitter to enjoy as a snack. That makes the intended use and your preference for bitter flavors useful considerations.

How to use it

For example, a small amount can be mixed into a bowl of yogurt or granola when you want to change the flavor of a familiar breakfast. Their bitterness is part of the ingredient’s character, so they bring a different taste than neutral-tasting recipe add-ins.
