MechLands AULA S102 Full-Size Membrane Gaming Keyboard with RGB Backlighting

The full-size layout of the MechLands AULA S102 gives you a dedicated number pad and a complete set of function keys, so spreadsheets, documents, and everyday shortcuts stay within easy reach. Its membrane design and silicone structure provide a soft, quiet typing feel for shared workspaces and late-night study.

For a desk that needs to serve both work and play, the S102 combines a familiar QWERTY layout with RGB backlighting and a gaming mode. Adjust the backlight brightness with keyboard shortcuts, then use FN+W to switch the WASD keys to arrow-key functions when that layout suits your game.

A wired USB-C connection keeps setup straightforward: connect the cable to a compatible device and start typing. The keyboard is listed for laptops, PCs, and tablets, with Windows compatibility noted.

Usage tips

Set the S102’s adjustable kickstands to one of its three typing angles to match your desk position. Its 2 cm mid-height front and tiered key arrangement are designed to support a natural hand position as you move between typing and gaming. The built-in media and function keys give you handy controls without requiring a compact layout that leaves out the number pad.

Use the lighting shortcuts to adjust brightness for your workspace or evening setup. If WASD is acting as the arrow keys, press FN+W to toggle the gaming-mode function. Because this is a membrane keyboard, removing or replacing the keycaps is not recommended, doing so could affect the internal membrane structure.

Where it shines

The quiet, soft keystroke feel suits shared offices, dorm rooms, and study areas where typing noise matters. The full-size layout is especially practical for data entry and document work, while the number pad makes frequent numeric input easier to manage. When the same desk is used for PC gaming, RGB backlighting adds visibility and atmosphere, and the gaming-mode shortcut provides an alternate WASD function.

This is a practical fit for someone who wants one wired keyboard for both daily tasks and gaming. A smaller layout may make more sense when saving desk space is the main priority, the S102 instead keeps the dedicated number pad and full set of function keys available. Buyers commonly highlight its quiet operation, soft texture, appearance, and backlighting. Feedback on reliability is mixed, and preferences differ on the lighting colors.
