Logitech R400 910-001354 Wireless Presenter with Red Laser and USB Receiver

Some presentations work best from behind a computer, others call for room to move and a way to point out details as you speak. The Logitech Wireless Presenter R400 puts slideshow controls and a red laser pointer in a handheld remote.

Its 2.4 GHz wireless connection provides up to 50 feet of range, so you can move around a classroom or conference room while advancing or returning to slides.

Plug the USB-A receiver into a Windows-based computer’s USB port to get started. No software installation is required, and the receiver stores inside the presenter between uses.

Everyday use

The R400 is designed for live slide presentations where you want to control the sequence without returning to the computer after each slide. Use the forward and back controls as you speak, then press the red laser button to draw attention to a chart, figure, or key point on screen. The pointer is designed to be visible against most backgrounds, making it useful when an audience needs a clear visual cue.

For example, a presenter can start a meeting at the computer, then move away from the podium and advance through a sales update while addressing the room. Up to 50 feet of wireless range supports that movement, while the handheld controls keep common slideshow actions close at hand.

Where it shines

The controls cover more than basic slide navigation: dedicated buttons can start or stop a presentation and switch to a black screen when you want attention back on the speaker. The battery indicator provides a quick visual check, and the on/off switch helps manage the remote between sessions. After presenting, store the receiver in the built-in compartment to keep the small USB part together with the clicker, the included carrying case makes it easier to pack the set for another room.

Customers often highlight the straightforward setup and comfortable feel in hand. Those qualities are especially useful when a presentation involves frequent slide changes or requires holding the remote throughout a meeting. Unlike a setup that keeps the presenter at the computer, the R400 combines slide control and a laser pointer in a single handheld device.
