Lifelong 2-Inch Office Chair Wheels, 5-Pack Polyurethane Swivel Casters

What stands out

The 2-inch wheels give this five-pack a practical fit for replacing worn office chair casters. Each wheel uses a polyurethane tread with steel construction and precision ball bearings, combining a durable design with smooth, quiet swiveling for everyday movement at a desk. The dark gray finish keeps the replacement parts understated beneath most office chairs.

Designed for use on hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet, these casters can help you move between desk tasks without relying on a separate chair mat. Carpet texture affects how freely a chair rolls, so the surface itself plays a part in the glide.

The essentials

These are stem-mounted swivel casters for office chairs, supplied as a five-pack. The stem measures 7/16" x 7/8". Check your chair’s existing caster stem against that measurement before ordering, the wheels are not compatible with IKEA chairs and may not fit some off-brand chairs. A matching stem size is the key detail for a straightforward replacement.

The polyurethane wheels are intended for hard floors as well as carpet, offering an alternative to standard hard-plastic casters when you want a softer rolling surface for a home office or workplace. Their swivel action supports repositioning around a desk, while the ball-bearing construction supports smooth movement. Could a caster change make your workspace easier to navigate? For a chair that already fits the stem dimensions, replacing its wheels is a focused way to refresh how it moves without replacing the chair itself.

Best use cases

Use these wheels to replace office chair casters that have become noisy, stiff, or worn, or when setting up a chair for movement across common indoor flooring. They suit desk areas with hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or tile, and can also be used on carpet. Low-pile carpet generally allows an easier roll than high-pile carpet, where movement may feel less smooth.

Before fitting, compare the new stem dimensions with the chair’s caster sockets and confirm the chair is not an IKEA model. This helps ensure the stem-mount design matches your chair. If you are choosing between keeping a chair and buying a new one, these replacement casters offer a simple component-level option when the chair itself is still right for your workspace.

Before you decide

How many wheels are in the pack? The set contains five office chair wheels, making it suitable for replacing a chair’s caster set.

Will they fit my office chair? They use a 7/16" x 7/8" stem and are not compatible with IKEA chairs. Compare the stem with your chair’s existing caster before purchase, some off-brand chairs may use a different fit.

What floors can they roll on? They are designed for hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet. Carpet pile affects rolling smoothness, with low-pile carpet generally allowing easier movement than high-pile carpet.

Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want to keep your current office chair and replace its casters with a five-piece set designed for smooth swiveling across several indoor floor types. The polyurethane wheels, steel construction, and precision ball bearings address the practical priorities of everyday desk use: moving around your workspace and choosing casters suited to your floor. For a compatible chair, the Lifelong set is a targeted replacement rather than a reason to replace the whole chair.
