Lexar D50E 512GB Dual USB Flash Drive, USB-A and USB-C, Up to 400MB/s
Product description
Dual USB-A and USB-C connectors let the Lexar D50E move files between compatible phones, computers, and other USB devices without relying on a single port type. Its 512GB capacity gives you room for a substantial collection of photos, videos, and documents. Choose a compact drive like this when you want one portable storage device for more than one connector, a single-connector drive may suit a setup that uses only one port standard.
Why it makes sense
The D50E combines a high-capacity flash drive with both USB-A and USB-C connections. That makes it practical for moving files between a USB-C phone and a USB-A computer, or for keeping a portable library accessible across compatible devices. Its swivel design brings the connectors into use without a separate cable, while the metal housing protects the drive during everyday carry.
The listed compatibility includes iPhone 17, Android devices, PCs, and USB devices. For mobile media management, the free Lexar App offers photo backup and organization features on iOS and Android. The app does not support iCloud content backup. Customer feedback often highlights the sturdy feel, transfer speed, and convenience of having both connectors, opinions about overall value are mixed, making the dual-port format and 512GB capacity useful factors to weigh for your own setup.

How to use it
Plug the connector that matches your device into its USB port to access or transfer files. For the full USB 3.2 Gen 1 transfer rate, the computer and cable connection must support USB 3.2 Gen 1, on a USB 2.0 port, the drive falls back to 480Mbps. Devices need to support external storage above 32GB to use the drive’s full capacity. If a device formats it to 32GB, the full capacity can be restored by deleting the existing partition and creating a full partition in Disk Management on a computer.
For phone media, the Lexar App’s photo backup function offers another way to manage files on supported iOS and Android devices. It’s a great fit if you want to carry one drive between compatible USB-A and USB-C devices, rather than keep separate storage for each connector. The combination of 512GB capacity, dual connectors, and a compact swivel design is especially useful for keeping files close at hand across a phone-and-computer setup.
When it makes sense
Choose the Lexar D50E when your routine involves more than one USB connector type and you want a single drive for portable file storage and transfers. It suits people who move photos or documents between a compatible phone and PC, as well as anyone who wants a compact media library accessible from different USB devices. Its defining advantage is practical flexibility: a large-capacity drive with both USB-A and USB-C connectors, ready to work across a mixed-device setup.
