KISKIZ 85-Inch Retractable Baby and Pet Gate, Reinforced Mesh, Black
Product description
Use the KISKIZ retractable gate to create a barrier across a wide doorway, hallway, or patio entrance while keeping the opening clear when the gate is not needed. Its width adjusts from 0 to 85 inches, and built-in support rods help keep babies and pets from crawling underneath while supporting the mesh.
For a broad passage, this retractable design offers a space-saving alternative to a fixed gate: extend it to block access, then retract it for easier passage. The black mesh suits indoor and outdoor use, including porches and decks.
Everyday use
Use the gate to define boundaries around stairs, doorways, hallways, patios, decks, or porches. The one-hand locking mechanism lets an adult extend or retract it while keeping a hand free, and the gate retracts out of the way when access is needed. With no bottom bar, the passage stays clear when the mesh is retracted.
The adjustable lower bracket moves to accommodate different baseboard heights and helps the gate sit close to the floor. Follow the installation manual so the hardware is positioned correctly and the gate operates smoothly. Installation hardware, instructions, and floor hooks are included.

What stands out
Support rods help prevent crawling underneath and keep the mesh from sagging, while the retractable format makes it practical for high-traffic openings that need to be clear at times. The mesh is described as soft yet durable, with a design intended to resist pet scratches and cushion contact. Its adjustable lower bracket is another useful detail for fitting around baseboards without damaging the skirting line.
Buyers describe the gate as useful for porch areas and for keeping children or pets away from stairs and other spaces. They also mention straightforward installation. Feedback on sturdiness and day-to-day operation is mixed, so correct hardware placement and following the manual are important parts of setting it up.
