Kensington Slim Type Wired Keyboard K72357USA — Wired keyboard ⌨

This slim wired keyboard from Kensington combines a low-profile design with laptop-style keys for everyday desktop typing, offering a compact option for home or office use. The scissor-switch key mechanism gives light-action typing and a responsive feel, helping speed up input and reduce finger fatigue during long sessions.

Key Points

The keyboard has a contemporary black and silver profile that fits neatly with most workstations. Laptop-style scissor-switch keys provide a quieter keystroke and a flatter layout that saves desk space. Dedicated multimedia buttons give one-touch access to volume, play/pause, track skip, mute, and eject, useful when listening to music or managing calls. Setup is straightforward via a USB connection so it works immediately without pairing or batteries. Consider that this is a wired model, so mobility is limited to the cable length.

Usage Recommendations

Place the keyboard at a comfortable height to maintain a neutral wrist position during extended typing. For cleaning, unplug before wiping the surface and use a soft cloth to avoid damaging the low-profile keycaps.

Advantages

The design keeps a minimal footprint while retaining a full set of keys, making it practical for users who need a complete layout without the bulk. The scissor-switch action tends to be more consistent and stable than traditional membrane keys, according to the manufacturer. Wired USB connectivity removes concerns about battery life and wireless interference, though it means the keyboard stays tethered to the computer.
