Kenmore 7.0 cu. ft. Front Load Gas Dryer with Smart Sensor Drying

For a household load of clothes, bedding, or other washable fabrics, the Kenmore 7.0 cu. ft. Front Load Gas Dryer offers room for items to move while drying. Its sensor drying system detects moisture, and the cycle controls include options for different fabrics and drying needs.

Wrinkle Guard can keep laundry tumbling intermittently after a cycle ends. The door is reversible, which may help when planning where the dryer will sit.

Practical tips

The 7.0 cu. ft. capacity is intended to give clothing and household fabrics space to move during a cycle. When choosing a cycle, the dryer offers 10 drying cycles and 6 options, with LED touch controls that show cycle status and time remaining. For items such as decorative pillows, sleeping bags, or plush toys, the product information notes that additional cycles are available for non-washable items.

If clothes will not be removed as soon as a cycle finishes, Wrinkle Guard intermittently tumbles them afterward to help prevent wrinkles from setting in. That can be useful when laundry timing is unpredictable, although it is not a substitute for removing and folding clothes when convenient.

Benefits

Smart sensor drying detects moisture and is designed to stop drying at the right time, helping prevent over-drying. Compared with relying only on a timed cycle, sensing moisture gives the dryer another way to determine when laundry is dry. Would that make a difference in your routine? It may be useful when loads vary, while the LED display makes cycle status and remaining time visible.

The Energy Saver option is described as reducing energy use by up to 7.6% compared with a normal cycle using more dry level, medium dry temperature, and an 8-lb load. That figure applies to the stated comparison conditions, rather than every load or cycle. It is a specific option to consider if those conditions match your typical laundry.

It’s a great fit if you want a gas dryer with sensor drying, multiple cycle options, and a feature to help manage wrinkles after a cycle. You may want to skip it if you are specifically shopping for an electric dryer.

The essentials

This is a front-load gas dryer in white, with a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity. Its listed dimensions are 30.72" deep by 27" wide by 44.2" high, and the door orientation is reversible. Materials listed include alloy steel, plastic, and stainless steel. The appliance warranty is listed as one year.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Kenmore if you want a front-load gas dryer with a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity and value moisture sensing, post-cycle wrinkle care, and a range of drying cycles. Its reversible door and visible cycle status are practical details for fitting it into a laundry routine. The Energy Saver figure is tied to a specific comparison load and settings, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed reduction for every use. If your priority is an electric model, this gas dryer does not match that requirement.
