KastKing gry-1000-30 SuperPower Braided Fishing Line, 30 lb, Gray, 1,097 Yards

For surf fishing, bass fishing, or a day on the lake, the KastKing SuperPower braided line pairs a 30-pound breaking strength with a 1,097-yard spool. Its X4 Low-Vis Gray color gives this version a distinct, subdued look.

Made from polyethylene with four strands, the braid has a round, smooth design intended to support casting and handling. Its smaller diameter relative to its pound-test rating also offers a more compact line profile.

Zero stretch helps transmit movement through the line, giving anglers a more direct feel when working a lure or setting a hook. Low memory is designed to make the line easier to cast and handle.

Quick overview

This is a 30 lb braided fishing line in X4 Low-Vis Gray, supplied in a 1,097-yard length. The construction emphasizes abrasion resistance and knot strength, while the smooth, rounded profile is designed for casting. Those features make it a useful option when choosing braid for a fishing setup where sensitivity, line strength, and a substantial spool length matter.

Anglers weighing braid against other line types can focus on the characteristics they want from their setup: this line is built around a small-diameter profile, low stretch, and a direct feel. Its listed uses span freshwater and saltwater fishing, including surf, ice, trout, and bass fishing.

Best use cases

The line’s zero-stretch construction and enhanced sensitivity are suited to fishing situations where feeling movement through the line is a priority. Its stated abrasion resistance and 30 lb breaking strength also make it relevant for anglers selecting braid for varied fishing conditions. The manufacturer lists uses from surf and saltwater fishing to ice fishing and freshwater pursuits such as trout and bass.

The smooth, round design is intended to help line leave the reel during a cast, while low memory supports easier handling. Buyers often praise its smooth casting and strength, feedback on durability is mixed, and some report that the dye transfers or fades. That color feedback is worth considering when choosing the gray version for your gear and routine.

Practical tips

Use the 30 lb rating and 1,097-yard length as the starting points when selecting line for a reel and fishing setup. The X4 Low-Vis Gray finish identifies this particular version, while the braided polyethylene construction and low-stretch feel distinguish it from a setup chosen for a different line format. Follow your reel and rod guidance when matching line to your equipment, and use a knot suited to braided line so the connection is appropriate for the line type.
