Joypony BB-FD-CP Sippy Cup, 9 oz Pink PPSU Weighted Straw Cup

Choosing a cup for the move from bottle to independent sipping often comes down to how a child drinks and how much spill control a caregiver wants. The Joypony BB-FD-CP pairs a weighted straw with a four-layer anti-leak design, giving little ones a straw cup for everyday use at home, while nursing, or on the go.

Its 9-ounce size and soft silicone straw suit the listed 6–36 month age range. The weighted tip follows the liquid as the cup changes angle, so a child can sip without keeping the straw upright.

Technical overview

• Type: Sippy cup with weighted straw
• Capacity: 9 ounces
• Material: BPA-free PPSU
• Color: Pink
• Age range: 6–36 months
• What’s included: One cup and two silicone straws
• Care: Hand wash only
• Dimensions: 3"W x 5.5"H

The PPSU cup is described as heat resistant and drop resistant, while the four-layer design helps contain liquid when the cup is tilted or inverted. That combination is useful for active daily routines, from a drink at home to carrying the cup along for an outing. The silicone straw is soft, with a V-shaped valve designed to support smooth sipping. A second straw provides a spare for continued use.

The lid folds back 180 degrees and locks in place, keeping it from falling forward toward a child’s face while drinking. The wide neck and simple assembly make the cup easier to take apart for cleaning, follow the hand-wash care instructions. Buyers often highlight the cup’s spill resistance and durability, while opinions on how easy it is to clean are mixed.

Getting the most from it

For a child learning to drink independently, a straw cup offers a different approach from an open training cup: the straw lets them sip while holding the bottle-style cup, and the weighted end follows the liquid as it shifts. The listed age range begins at 6 months, and the straw is specifically not intended for children under 6 months.

For a practical outing, fill the cup with a drink, close the lid, and let the child hold it at a comfortable angle. The gravity ball at the straw’s end helps keep the straw positioned in the liquid as the cup moves. At home, the fold-back lid and replaceable silicone straw make it straightforward to set up for regular sipping and cleaning.

Tips for day-to-day use

Disassemble the cup for hand washing so its parts can be cleaned separately, then reassemble it before use. Keep the spare silicone straw available as a replacement. The cup is listed for home, nursing, and travel, so it can serve as a familiar drinking option across everyday routines. Its transparent PPSU body also makes the contents visible at a glance.

The design focuses on practical details rather than extra steps: a weighted straw for changing angles, a lid that stays folded back, and a spill-control structure for carrying. These features are useful when a toddler is practicing independent drinking and the cup needs to move between meals, play, and outings.
