Jasonwell Foldable Dog Pool 87-Inch

Where it shines

For a backyard rinse, a splash break on a warm day, or a contained spot for a dog to cool off, this Jasonwell foldable pool is designed to do more than hold water. The 87-inch format is also described for kids’ wading, a puppy bath, a ball pit, and use as a whelping box. That flexibility may be useful if you want one foldable setup for different jobs rather than a pool dedicated to a single purpose.

Setup does not require inflation, and the pool folds away for storage or transport. A lower drain opening is intended to make emptying and refreshing the water easier. The included hose connector gives you a way to direct drainage away from the lawn instead of letting the water run straight onto it.

What matters most

The design combines large plastic boards with a layered vinyl construction that the product description says includes polyester mesh. The inner walls and bottom have an embossed, nonslip surface. Those details are aimed at keeping the sides supported and giving paws or feet a less slippery surface, though they are not a substitute for watching children or pets around water.

A practical backyard routine is simple: set it up on a suitable flat spot, fill it for a supervised splash, then attach a garden hose to the connector when it is time to drain. The foldable format can be appealing if storage space matters, if you prioritize a permanent, ready-to-use pool, a fixed setup may be less work day to day. The listing does not give the pool’s depth or water capacity, so the 87-inch size alone won’t tell you how much room or water your particular use requires.

It’s a great fit if you want a portable pool that can serve dogs, kids, or occasional bathing, and you value a drain you can connect to a hose. It may not suit you if you need published capacity or depth details before choosing a pool, or if you want a dedicated permanent structure. The product description also calls it both a hard-plastic pool and a vinyl pool with internal boards, so buyers looking for a precise breakdown of the construction may want more detail than is provided.

Best use cases

This is most compelling for flexible, occasional use: a dog can cool off in the yard, then the pool can be emptied and folded away instead of occupying the space all season. Its described whelping-box use adds another purpose, but the listing does not provide measurements beyond the 87-inch size or other details to judge how it would fit a specific dog and litter. For a quick pet bath, the lower drain and hose connector are useful in principle, a regular bathtub or a simpler basin may be more practical if you do not need the larger, collapsible format.

Treat the nonslip bottom as a helpful design feature, not a guarantee against slipping. Place the pool where you can supervise use and route the drain hose appropriately. Without having tried it, the clearest buying question is whether you need this mix of portability, multiple uses, and a hose-connected drain—or would be better served by a more basic tub for one specific task.

Final verdict

Choose the Jasonwell if you want a foldable, multipurpose pool and have room for its 87-inch footprint when it is open. The no-inflation setup, fold-away storage, textured interior, and drain connector address practical backyard needs. Skip it if exact depth or capacity is essential to your decision, or if you only need a small, single-purpose bath basin, those requirements are not established by the product details provided.
