E-Z Ink Pro DR830 Drum Unit for Brother Printers, 15,000-Page Yield

Everyday use

A one-pack DR830 drum unit gives compatible Brother laser printers a replacement imaging unit for black printing. It is designed for models including the HL-L2460DW, DCP-L2640DW, and MFC-L2820DW, making it useful when you need to replace the drum in one of these printers.

The drum and toner cartridge serve different roles. This product replaces the DR830 drum unit, the TN830 toner cartridge is purchased separately. That distinction helps you choose the part you need, whether you are replacing an imaging unit or replenishing toner.

For a home office or small workspace, a stated yield of 15,000 pages at 5% coverage provides a reference for planning drum replacement. Actual page coverage varies with the content you print, so the figure is best used as a rated estimate rather than a promise of identical results for every print job.

Pros

The broad list of compatible Brother models makes this drum unit a practical replacement option for several HL, DCP, and MFC laser printer families. Its DR830 identification also makes it easier to distinguish the imaging unit from the TN830 toner cartridge when ordering a printer supply. If your printer is on the compatibility list and its drum needs replacement, this unit is made for that specific task rather than serving as a toner refill.

Questions before you buy

Does this drum unit work with the Brother HL-L2460DW? Yes. The HL-L2460DW is listed as a compatible printer, along with the other Brother models shown above. Match your printer’s full model number to the list before ordering.

How many pages is the drum rated for? The stated yield is 15,000 pages at 5% coverage. Coverage depends on the printed content, so pages with more extensive black printing may use the drum differently than the rating’s reference condition.

Is the TN830 toner cartridge included? No. The package contains one DR830 drum unit and a user guide, the TN830 toner cartridge is purchased separately.

Is it worth it?

For owners of a listed Brother laser printer who need a DR830 replacement, this unit offers a clearly identified imaging component and a stated 15,000-page yield at 5% coverage. Choose it when the part to replace is the drum—not the toner cartridge—and use the printer model list to confirm compatibility. That makes it a straightforward way to match the replacement part to the printer and keep drum maintenance separate from toner replenishment.
