Toner Bank DR820 DR-820 Drum Unit, Black 2-Pack for Brother Printers

When a Brother laser printer needs a drum replacement, the key is choosing the correct imaging component—not simply replenishing toner. This Toner Bank DR820 DR-820 is a compatible black drum unit for a broad range of Brother HL, MFC, and DCP printers, with two units in the pack for planned maintenance or a future replacement.

The drum works with a TN820 or TN850 toner cartridge, so it serves a different role from toner and is intended for use alongside it. Each unit has a listed page yield of 30,000 pages, based on 5% coverage on Letter/A4 paper.

Technical overview

This is a compatible, single-color black drum unit for Brother laser printers. The two-pack format provides replacement drums for supported machines, while the listed yield helps users gauge its role in a regular print-supply plan. Actual page counts depend on coverage, the stated figure uses the 5% coverage basis.

Compatibility covers Brother HL-L5000D, HL-L5100DN, HL-L5200DW, HL-L5200DWT, HL-L6200DW, HL-L6200DWT, HL-L6250DW, HL-L6300DW, HL-L6400DW, and HL-L6400DWT printers. It also fits the MFC-L5700DW, MFC-L5800DW, MFC-L5850DW, MFC-L5900DW, MFC-L6700DW, MFC-L6750DW, MFC-L6800DW, and MFC-L6900DW, plus the DCP-L5500DN, DCP-L5600DN, and DCP-L5650DN. Match the printer’s model number to this list before selecting a replacement.

Best use cases

Choose this drum unit when a compatible Brother printer needs its imaging drum replaced while its toner cartridge remains part of the printing setup. If the issue is simply depleted toner, a toner cartridge is the relevant supply instead, the DR820 drum is designed to work together with TN820 or TN850 toner, not replace it. This distinction helps you select the component that matches the printer’s maintenance need.

For example, an office using an HL-L6200DW for routine black-and-white paperwork can keep the second drum available for a later service interval, rather than ordering a single replacement each time. The same compatible drum family also serves the listed MFC and DCP models, making it relevant for a mixed printer setup when each device is on the supported list. Need to replace the imaging drum rather than the toner? This two-pack is built for that specific task.

What’s included

The pack contains two DR820 DR-820 black drum units. Toner cartridges are not included, the drums are used with a TN820 or TN850 toner cartridge. Each drum is listed with a 30,000-page yield based on 5% coverage on Letter/A4 paper.

Buying verdict

For owners of a listed Brother HL, MFC, or DCP printer, this compatible two-pack offers a direct way to replenish the DR820 drum supply and keep a replacement on hand. Its broad model coverage, black laser-printing format, and stated 30,000-page yield make it suited to routine printer upkeep when the drum—not the toner—is the component due for replacement.
