E-Z Ink Pro DR229 DR229CL Compatible Drum Unit 4-Pack for Brother Printers

Choosing a replacement for a color laser printer can mean replenishing toner or replacing the drum unit. This E-Z Ink Pro DR229CL four-pack is designed for the drum-unit need and works with compatible Brother printers.

For routine replacement planning, the set provides four DR229CL drum units in black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. Each color has its own unit, making it easier to match the replacement to the printer’s color drum system.

The units are intended for use with TN229 or TN229XL toner cartridges. Check your printer model against the compatibility list below to find the right fit for your setup.

What matters most

This is a drum-unit replacement set, not a toner-cartridge bundle. The package contains four DR229CL BKCMY drum units and a user guide, toner cartridges are not included. That distinction helps you choose the right part when your printer needs a drum replacement while your toner supply is handled separately.

Compatibility covers Brother HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW, and MFC-L8395CDW laser printers. The units are designed for use with TN229 and TN229XL toner cartridges. Matching the exact printer model and cartridge family before installation helps you select the appropriate replacement for your machine.

The stated yield is 20,000 pages per DR229CL black drum and 20,000 pages per color drum, based on 5% page coverage. Actual page coverage varies with the documents you print, so this figure is best used as a reference for planning replacement needs rather than as a fixed page count for every household or office.

Practical tips

Keep the drum units and toner cartridges distinct when planning supplies: this set replaces drum units, while toner is a separate consumable. If you are ordering because of a printer alert or scheduled maintenance, use the printer’s model name to confirm it appears in the compatibility list. Retain the included user guide for reference during setup.

How to use it

Use the DR229CL units in a listed compatible Brother laser printer with TN229 or TN229XL toner cartridges. When a drum replacement is needed, follow the printer’s instructions and the included user guide to identify and replace the relevant unit. The four-color set is suited to maintaining a color laser printer where the black, cyan, magenta, and yellow drum positions are managed as part of the same supply system.

For example, an office that prints a mix of color materials and black text can keep the matching drum colors on hand for future replacement. If your immediate need is toner replenishment, choose toner cartridges instead, this set is specifically for the printer’s drum unit.

Should you buy it?

Choose this E-Z Ink Pro set when you need DR229CL drum replacements for one of the listed Brother printers and want all four color positions in a single pack. Its clear role alongside TN229 or TN229XL toner makes it a practical fit for users organizing drum replacement separately from toner purchases.
