In The Swim Pool Closing Kit 35,000 Gallons

When you’re preparing an in-ground pool for its seasonal close, gathering several separate chemicals can add extra steps. The In The Swim Pool Closing Kit brings together a chlorine-free shock-oxidizer, winterizer, stain treatment, Winter Sorb, and pool floater, with the product title specifying a 35,000-gallon pool. Its main appeal is having the listed closing supplies in one kit rather than building a checklist from individual products.

If you prioritize a bundled set of closing chemicals, this is the convenient route, if you prefer to choose each treatment separately, separate products give you more control over what goes into your closing routine.

Where it shines

The kit is aimed at in-ground pool owners who want a seasonal closing lineup without sourcing each listed item on its own. It includes one quart of winterizer, one quart of Winter Stain-Away, three pounds of chlorine-free pool shock-oxidizer, one Winter Sorb, and one winter pool floater. That range covers several parts of a closing routine, from treatment to a floating accessory, rather than focusing on just one chemical.

The Winter Sorb has a specific role: the description says it absorbs up to 40 times its weight in oils to help prevent scum at the waterline. That may be useful if surface residue is a concern, though it’s one component of the kit, not a substitute for the other closing steps.

What to know

The 35,000-gallon figure is part of the product name, but the listing doesn’t provide dosing instructions or explain how to adjust treatment for a pool’s actual water volume or condition. Use the product directions to determine amounts and timing instead of treating the title as a complete dosing guide. The listing also describes the kit as safe for pool surfaces and compatible with other winterizing chemicals, that is a product claim, not a guarantee for every pool surface or chemical routine. If your pool has specific care requirements, check its instructions before adding treatments.

The included Sorb may be one white unit or two blue ones, according to the description, so the color and configuration may differ. On the spec sheet, this is a broad closing bundle, it doesn’t establish that every item is needed for every pool.

Best use cases

Picture setting up for a seasonal close and wanting the shock-oxidizer, winterizer, stain treatment, sorb, and floater together. That’s the kind of task this bundle is designed to simplify. It’s a great fit if you want the listed components in one purchase and your pool’s requirements align with the kit. Better avoided if you need a specific treatment plan, want to select every chemical individually, or have a pool type other than the in-ground pools named in the listing.

When it makes sense

Choose this kit when its intended pool size and included treatments match your closing plan, the bundled format can save the effort of sourcing those items separately. A pool owner who already has some of these products, or who needs different chemicals or exact pool-specific dosing, may be better served by buying only what their care routine calls for. The key decision is whether you want this particular set of components—not simply whether you need to close a pool.
