HQ4US 4LEGS A-H-LLB-NEW Dog Grass Pad with Tray, Fast-Draining Turf

Some dogs follow an outdoor-only routine, while others need a designated potty spot indoors when going outside is not practical. The HQ4US 4LEGS grass pad gives them a turf-style surface with a tray underneath to collect drainage.

For a puppy learning where to go, an older dog, or a dog staying inside during illness or bad weather, a familiar, dedicated spot can make the routine easier to establish. The pad can also be used on a balcony.

The medium size measures about 31 x 21 inches and is intended for dogs under 26 inches long, measured from nose to the base of the tail. Measuring your dog helps you choose a size suited to their body length.

How to use it

Place the tray on a suitable indoor or outdoor surface, then set the grate and artificial grass in place. The grate holds the turf above the collection area, allowing urine to drain through rather than pooling on the grass. This layered setup gives your dog a defined place to go while keeping the turf separated from the tray below.

Use it as part of a potty-training routine or as an indoor option when outdoor trips are not possible. If your dog is hesitant to approach the turf, the product guidance suggests leaving a little urine on the grass to help attract their attention. Reinforced, sewn edges help the grass resist fraying and fiber shedding during regular use, though it is not designed to withstand aggressive chewing.

What you’ll notice day to day

The set includes two artificial grass pieces, a grate, and a tray. Having two turf pieces makes it possible to rotate them during cleaning. The grass is machine washable, and its fast-draining backing lets urine pass through to the tray. The manufacturer describes the drainage design as helping reduce odor, regular cleaning remains part of keeping the potty area fresh.

The realistic green turf provides a grass-like surface for dogs to use indoors or on a balcony. For apartment living, a designated spot can support a consistent potty routine without relying on every trip being outdoors. The same setup can be useful for dogs who need an indoor alternative during poor weather or recovery from illness.

Worth noting

Choose the size by measuring your dog from nose to the base of the tail: the medium option is listed for dogs under 26 inches long. The sewn binding reinforces all four grass edges, but the turf is not chew-proof, so it is not recommended for dogs that chew aggressively.

Buyer feedback is positive about cleaning, the grass, and the pad’s usefulness for puppy training, while opinions differ on odor control and long-term durability. Some owners report that the pad works well for their dogs, others say their dogs were reluctant to use it. A regular cleaning routine and a gradual introduction can help make it part of your dog’s designated potty area.

When it makes sense

This medium grass pad is a practical fit when you want a dedicated potty station for a dog under 26 inches long, especially in an apartment, on a balcony, or during times when outdoor access is difficult. Its fast-draining turf, raised grate, tray, and two washable grass pieces make the setup useful for ongoing training and everyday indoor needs.
