The mat is listed for cats and small or medium dogs, and its size is an important part of the decision. It can serve as a designated potty area, or as a grass-like surface on a balcony, patio, or in a yard. The drainage holes are intended to let liquid pass through, and the care instructions call for rinsing with soapy water. No mowing or watering is needed to maintain the artificial turf itself.

How to use it

Place the mat on a suitable indoor or outdoor surface and use it as a dedicated pet area. For potty training, it offers a turf-style option that can be set out at home rather than relying only on disposable pads. A typical use might be placing it on a balcony or in a yard for a small or medium dog that needs a consistent spot. The product information also lists play areas, gardens, patios, and doorways as possible settings.

For cleanup, rinse the grass with soapy water. The drainage holes are designed to help liquid pass through, but the listing does not specify a separate tray or collection system, so consider where runoff will go before setting it on an indoor floor. Buyers often praise how quickly the mat can be rinsed, while reports on the grass itself are mixed: some describe it as realistic, and others mention shedding or an unpleasant smell. That variation is worth keeping in mind if it will be used in a frequently occupied indoor space.

In the box

The listed included component is one grass pad. No tray, liner, or other accessory is specified.

Before you decide

Is this mat sized for a large dog? It measures 47.3 x 31.5 inches and is recommended for small and medium dogs. Buyer feedback on size is mixed, and some say it is not large enough for their larger dogs, so check the measurements against your pet’s needs.

How is it cleaned? The care instructions say to rinse it with soapy water. Buyers also report that hosing it down is convenient, though drying conditions and time are not specified.

Can it be used indoors and outdoors? Both settings are listed. For indoor placement, account for drainage and runoff because a separate catch tray is not listed as included.

Buying verdict

A solid pick if you want a reusable, grass-style potty surface for a small or medium dog or a cat, and the stated footprint suits the spot you have available. It can also work as a simple turf accent for a patio or balcony, without the upkeep of a natural grass patch. Compared with disposable pads, it offers a reusable surface but needs rinsing and a plan for drainage. Buyer comments are divided on durability: some find it holds up, while others report that the edges can tear. It may not suit you if you need a larger area for a big dog or want a specified collection tray included.
