HP OmniBook 17.3-inch laptop

For people who want a large screen and room to keep several apps open, the HP OmniBook pairs a 17.3-inch display with 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD.

That setup suits desk-based work, spreadsheets, video calls, and everyday multitasking. The included external drive adds storage without requiring you to choose a smaller internal drive.

One detail to weigh: the display is Full HD, and its listed 62.5% sRGB coverage may matter if color accuracy is central to your work.

Key specifications

The Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor has 12 cores and reaches up to 5.20 GHz. Paired with 32GB DDR5 RAM, it is configured for running multiple applications and browser tabs at once. The 1TB PCIe SSD provides the main storage, while a 500GB external hard drive is included in the bundle.

The 17.3-inch IPS screen has a 1920 × 1080 resolution, 300 nits of brightness, an anti-glare coating, and a stated 62.5% sRGB color coverage. That gives you a spacious workspace for documents and side-by-side windows, though the color specification is worth noting for creative work where color fidelity matters.

Other listed features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. The keyboard is backlit and includes a numeric keypad. For calls, there is a 1080p FHD camera with HDR, a privacy shutter, and a microphone mute key.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you mostly work at a desk and want a larger built-in screen for spreadsheets, documents, or keeping a video call visible while you work. The memory and storage also make this a more capable setup for busy everyday workloads than a basic laptop with less RAM and a smaller drive.

The Copilot key and Intel AI Boost NPU are part of its AI-focused feature set, but the listing does not establish how much they will improve any particular app or task. Not the best choice if you need a compact machine to carry around often, or if your work depends on a display with stronger stated color coverage.

What you get

The bundle includes the HP laptop and a 500GB external hard drive. The laptop also comes with a 45W USB-C GaN power adapter. A numeric keypad can make entering figures more convenient, while the backlit keyboard is useful when you are typing in a dim room. For a typical work session, you could keep a spreadsheet open beside a browser, connect an external display over HDMI, and save less-used files to the external drive.

Before you decide

Is the screen suitable for everyday work? Its 17.3-inch Full HD IPS panel, anti-glare coating, and 300-nit brightness are listed for general productivity and media use. The 62.5% sRGB figure is a limitation to consider for color-sensitive editing.

Does it include an external drive? Yes. The bundle lists a 500GB external hard drive in addition to the internal 1TB PCIe SSD.

How long does the battery last? The listing describes battery life as long but gives no runtime, so it is difficult to judge a full-day expectation without that measurement.

Buying verdict

Choose this OmniBook if a large screen, generous memory, and bundled extra storage matter more than portability or a color-focused display. Its specification points toward a stationary productivity laptop that can handle multitasking and calls without relying on an external monitor for extra workspace. If you need a lighter carry-everywhere option, or need confirmed battery runtime or higher stated color coverage, those missing details make this a less certain fit.
