HOMCOM 800-127V80WT Mini Freezer, 1.1 Cu. Ft., Reversible Door

At 1.1 cu. ft., the HOMCOM 800-127V80WT is a compact upright freezer designed to add dedicated frozen-food storage without taking up the footprint of a full-size unit. Its white finish and freestanding design suit a countertop or other available spot in an apartment, dorm, home office, or motor home.

A removable shelf, reversible door, and five-level thermostat make it easier to arrange different frozen items and adapt the setup to your space.

Worth noting

Use the adjustable thermostat to select from five temperature settings, ranging from 6.8°F to -11.2°F. That gives you a choice of settings for frozen food, seafood, meat, drinks, or ice cream. The compressor cycles automatically around the selected temperature, so the freezer can maintain its setting during everyday use.

The shelf lifts out when you need room for larger or differently shaped items. The door can be reversed to open from the side that works better for your layout. An ice cube tray and ice shovel are included for making and handling ice.

Customer feedback on day-to-day operation is mixed: some appreciate the compact size and efficient freezing, while reports differ on temperature consistency and noise. Some customers also describe units that stopped working within a year. These comments are useful context alongside the freezer’s stated features when deciding how it fits your needs.

Size & fit

The exterior measures 18.5" W x 17.5" D x 19.25" H, with 1.1 cu. ft. of capacity. It provides a dedicated place for a modest supply of frozen staples when the freezer compartment in a main refrigerator is already in use. In an office, it can keep ice cream or other frozen treats close at hand, in a dorm or apartment, it can separate frozen meals and ingredients from everyday refrigerator storage.

The removable shelf helps make better use of the interior when your items vary in size. For a small household or a focused set of frozen essentials, this compact format offers a different approach from choosing a larger upright freezer that needs more floor space.

Practical tips

Choose a stable location with room to open the door, then reverse the door orientation if the alternate swing suits the space better. The freezer is freestanding and requires assembly. Its adjustable feet help stabilize it on uneven floors. Connect it to a 115-volt power supply, set the thermostat with the rotary control, and organize items on the shelf or in the space below it. The shelf has a stated weight capacity of 9 pounds.

Buying verdict

The HOMCOM 800-127V80WT is suited to shoppers who want a compact, separate freezer for a dorm, apartment, office, or motor home rather than a larger appliance for bulk storage. Its 1.1 cu. ft. capacity, removable shelf, reversible door, and adjustable temperature settings address the practical needs of keeping a small selection of frozen foods and treats organized within easy reach.
