HABUTWAY Bean Bag Chair 6-Foot

For anyone who wants a soft place to lounge in a living room, bedroom, or dorm, this oversized bean bag offers a more relaxed alternative to a conventional chair. Its 6-foot format is intended for sitting or stretching out, rather than just perching upright.

The cover is velvet fabric in light gray with pink, and the listing says it can be removed and machine washed. That makes it easier to freshen up than a chair with fixed upholstery.

If you prioritize a casual spot to sprawl during a movie, this shape makes sense, if you prefer firm, upright support, a structured chair is likely a better fit.

Getting the most from it

The bean bag arrives compressed, so give it time to expand before judging its shape: the filling starts to expand within minutes, but the listing says it takes two days to fully expand. Shaking the chair after a period of use is also recommended to help the foam regain its loft. That extra step is part of owning a foam-filled lounger, unlike a rigid chair that keeps its shape without adjustment.

Two handles make it easier to move between rooms. For example, you can pull it from a bedroom into the living room for a movie, then shift it aside when you need the floor space back. The cover has a hidden zipper for removal and machine washing, no specific washing instructions are provided, so follow the care label rather than assuming a particular cycle or drying method.

Why it’s worth it

The useful combination here is generous lounging space, included high-resilience memory foam filling, and a removable cover. You don't have to source a separate insert, and the chair can serve as a reading nook, a game-night seat, or a spot to stretch out after a long day. The listing also suggests using it as a pet bed or dorm seat, though its broad footprint may make placement more of a consideration in a smaller room.

Worth considering if you want a soft, movable seat that can do more than one job and you’re comfortable with a relaxed, sink-in style. The velvet cover and handles add practical detail, but this is still a bean bag, not a task chair with defined back support.

Worth noting

The listing identifies the filling as high-resilience memory foam and says the chair should bounce back with occasional shaking. It doesn’t give a seat height, exact footprint, or firmness level. If you’re planning around a specific corner or need a particular sitting posture, it may be harder to judge the fit without that measurement. The 6-foot description signals a large format, but it doesn’t replace room dimensions.

The removable cover is a clear convenience, especially for a piece used for lounging, but the product details don’t explain whether the filling itself is washable. Keep cleaning expectations focused on the cover, which is the part explicitly described as machine washable.

When it makes sense

Better avoided if you need consistent upright support, a compact seat, or a precisely specified fit for a small room. Worth considering if your priority is a roomy, casual place to sit or lie down and you can give it space to expand after opening. This HABUTWAY bean bag is most compelling for flexible home lounging, shoppers who want a chair that holds a defined posture without fluffing will likely prefer a more structured design.
