GUJYUYIF American Mahjong Set with Melamine Tiles

Missing pieces and a noisy shuffle can make a casual Mahjong night harder to enjoy. This GUJYUYIF American Mahjong set brings tiles, racks with pushers, scoring accessories, a mat, and storage bags together, so you can set up for a game without assembling those basics separately.

The larger symbols are intended to be easier to read at a glance, while the mat gives you a dedicated surface for play.

Getting the most from it

The set includes four racks with pushers, which help organize and move tiles during play. At 1.2 inches, the tiles are described as having large, high-contrast symbols, that may be useful when newer players are learning to distinguish the pieces or when a group wants to scan a hand quickly. The tile faces are deeply engraved melamine, rather than printed designs, and the smooth surface is intended to keep shuffling quieter.

For a game in an apartment or dorm, the 31.4-inch waterproof, nonslip rubber mat provides a defined playing area and is designed to reduce shuffling noise. It can also go along to a park or gathering. Afterward, the mat rolls up, and the three storage bags give you a way to keep the tiles and accessories together. From the way it is set up, portability and a more contained game-night setup are central benefits, it isn’t a rigid case-based kit.

Why it’s worth it

The appeal is having the main play pieces and several supporting accessories in one set. Along with 166 tiles, it includes 100 scoring coins made of composite material, 20 animal pieces, three dice, a wind indicator, and four replacement tiles: two Jokers and four blank spares are listed as replacement support. The melamine tiles are described as stain-resistant and wipe-clean, and the mat is waterproof, so routine cleanup is meant to be straightforward.

If you prioritize an easy-to-pack set with a mat and accessories, this format makes sense, if you prefer a compact, hard-sided case or want to buy only the tiles, a simpler kit may suit your setup better. One practical limitation: a rule guide or American Mahjong card isn’t listed among the included items, so beginners may need to bring their own learning or reference materials. It’s a great fit if your group already has what it needs to follow the game and wants the playing pieces stored together.

At a glance

• Tiles: 166, with 36 Dots, 36 Bams, 36 Cracks, 12 Dragons, 16 Winds, 16 Flowers, and 8 Jokers listed
• Tile material: Melamine with deeply engraved designs
• Tile size: 1.2 inches
• Play surface: 31.4-inch waterproof, nonslip rubber mat
• Included accessories: Four racks with pushers, scoring coins, animal pieces, dice, wind indicator, and three storage bags

The contents are more expansive than a tile-only purchase, but the set’s usefulness still depends on what your group already owns and knows how to use.

Is it worth it?

Choose this set if you want an American Mahjong setup with racks, a noise-reducing mat, scoring pieces, and portable storage bundled together. It also has practical touches for shared spaces, including readable tile markings and a surface that rolls away after play. It’s not for you if you need a listed rule guide or card, want a hard case, or would rather choose each accessory separately. For a group that already has its instructions and wants a ready-to-organize collection for home or outings, the included pieces make it a considered all-in-one option.
