Greadio CD-X9B Portable Boombox CD Player with Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB and AUX

Benefits

Set up music in the kitchen, bedroom, or living room with a compact player that handles CDs, radio, and audio from other devices. The Greadio CD-X9B plays CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs, so you can keep using a familiar CD collection. Bluetooth, USB, and AUX playback add convenient ways to switch between music sources.

Two built-in speakers deliver stereo sound, while the simple controls make everyday playback straightforward. Choose normal, single-cycle, full-cycle, or random playback for discs, depending on how you want to listen. For radio, the FM tuner covers 87.5–108 MHz and uses a retractable, rotatable antenna to help with reception, extending and repositioning the antenna near a window can help when a signal is weak.

Bluetooth 5.1 receives audio from a cell phone, tablet, or computer, with a stated range of up to 26 feet. The AUX input provides a wired connection for compatible audio devices, and the USB port plays music and audiobooks. A headphone connection offers a private listening option. Compared with a single-purpose CD player, this boombox brings several playback formats together in one unit, making it useful when you want both discs and digital audio in the same space.

Customer feedback often calls out the compact footprint, approachable controls, and sound for listening to CDs and radio. Buyers also appreciate being able to adjust the volume for quieter background music or more lively listening. These are user impressions, while the player’s documented features include stereo speakers and multiple playback options.

Key takeaways

The unit measures 9.01 x 8.23 x 4.29 inches and weighs 2.1 pounds, making it practical for a counter, bedside table, or a spot where a full-size stereo would take up more room. Its black finish suits a range of home settings, and the built-in speakers let you listen without setting up separate speakers.

Use the included AC power cord for indoor listening, or choose battery power when you want to move the player away from an outlet. Battery operation requires six C batteries, which are not included. The package also includes an AUX cable and user manual. This combination is especially convenient for households that still use CDs but also want to play audio from a phone, computer, or USB drive.

Getting the most from it

For a simple listening routine, load a CD and choose the playback mode that suits the moment, or tune in to FM for music, news, and sports. When using Bluetooth, connect a compatible device to send its audio to the boombox, use AUX when you prefer a wired source. The sleep timer can shut the player off automatically, which is useful for listening at bedtime without leaving playback running.

If you are using FM in a room with weaker reception, fully extend the antenna and try positioning the radio near a window. For portable listening, switch to battery power and place the boombox where its built-in speakers can be heard clearly. Keeping the CD, radio, and external audio options in one player reduces the need to move between separate devices during the day.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if you want a straightforward home boombox that can play your CD collection while also supporting Bluetooth, USB, AUX, and FM radio. The stereo speakers, compact dimensions, AC or battery operation, and sleep timer make it suited to everyday listening in bedrooms and shared living spaces, as well as moving music to another room. Choose it for the flexibility to enjoy both physical discs and audio from modern devices through one set of simple controls.
