Retekess TR621 CD and Cassette Boombox with AM/FM, USB and TF Playback

A player for one kind of music suits a focused collection, the Retekess TR621 brings CDs, cassette tapes, AM/FM radio, USB drives, and TF cards together in one boombox.

Its two speakers deliver stereo sound for CD, USB, and TF playback, while the headphone jack offers a private listening option at home.

Use AC power at home or load six D batteries for portable listening. The TR621 also records audio to cassette, adding a way to make personal tape compilations.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose the source that fits the moment: put on a CD, play a cassette, tune in to AM/FM radio, or load music from a USB drive or TF card. The TR621 supports CD, CDR, and CDRW discs, along with MP3 and WMA audio. This range is useful when a household music collection spans older tapes and discs as well as digital files.

For a more personal listening setup, connect headphones through the headphone jack. When you want music in the room, the two built-in speakers provide stereo playback for CDs and audio from USB or TF cards. Large, straightforward controls make everyday source selection and playback easy to manage, and the included remote can control music from a distance.

Where it shines

The TR621 is especially useful for bringing cassette listening and current digital formats into the same setup. It can record radio, CDs, USB drives, and TF cards to blank tapes, so you can create a cassette compilation from supported sources. CD track programming and repeat modes also let you arrange listening around a preferred sequence or replay selection.

For a kitchen, living room, or family gathering, AM/FM radio and multiple playback options mean the unit can serve different listeners without switching to a separate device for every format. At 10.24 x 8.62 x 5.47 inches, it has a compact footprint for a shelf or table. If portability matters, it can run on AC power or six D batteries, making it suitable for listening away from a wall outlet as well.

Buyer feedback often praises the sound, compact size, ease of use, and playback across CDs and tapes. Experiences with functionality are mixed: some buyers report cassette-door problems, and feedback on the remote is also critical, including concerns about its controls. These points are worth weighing alongside the convenience of having several music sources in one unit.

What to know

The TR621 has two speakers and stereo output, with a headphone jack for individual listening. Its supported disc formats are CD, CDR, and CDRW, supported audio formats include MP3 and WMA. USB and TF card playback provide another way to listen to digital music files, while AM/FM radio adds live broadcasts to the available sources.

Tape recording requires a blank cassette. The package includes the TR621 player, a remote control, a charging cable, and a user manual. Use AC power for a stationary setup or six D batteries when you want battery-powered playback.

Is it worth it?

Choose the Retekess TR621 if you want one home boombox for cassette tapes, CDs, radio, and digital music rather than a player dedicated to a single format. Its tape-recording function adds a practical way to build personal compilations, and the headphone jack, stereo speakers, and choice of AC or battery power support different listening routines. It’s a fitting choice for households that want to keep a tape or CD collection in regular use while also playing music from USB or TF cards.
