GENIMO Plastic Straw Rug Outdoor Area Rug, 9' x 12', Reversible Black and Gray

A large outdoor area can call for one continuous surface, while smaller spaces may work better with compact mats. The GENIMO Plastic Straw Rug gives patios, decks, porches, and campsites a defined 9' x 12' area, with a reversible geometric design that lets you switch between two looks.

Made from polypropylene, this foldable rug is waterproof and stain resistant for outdoor use. Its carry bag makes it practical to take along for camping, RV trips, picnics, or beach outings.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use the rug to bring a larger outdoor seating area together, or spread it out at a campsite as a shared surface for chairs and gear. Its 9' x 12' dimensions provide broad coverage, while the low-pile, braided construction keeps the profile at 0.2 inches thick. Because the design is reversible, you can turn it over when you want to change the look or use the other patterned side.

For outings, fold or roll the rug for transport in its carry bag. The polypropylene surface is designed to resist water and stains, helping with everyday outdoor spills and dirt. Hand wash it for care, then let it dry before packing it away. For a patio or deck, the black-and-gray geometric pattern adds a clear visual boundary without relying on a small accent mat.

Strengths

The main advantage is the combination of generous coverage and portability. At 9' x 12', it can serve as one broad surface for a patio seating arrangement, a picnic setup, or a campsite, rather than requiring several smaller mats to cover the same area. Its reversible construction offers two patterned sides, and the dark colors suit outdoor spaces where dirt and everyday use are part of the setting.

The rug is machine made from polypropylene, including its backing, and weighs 7.2 pounds. Foldable construction and the included carry bag support packing it for RV travel or camping. Buyers often praise its appearance, color, and size, while feedback on whether it settles flat is mixed, some also describe the material as plastic-like. Those impressions can help set expectations for its woven plastic-straw style.
