GENIMO 5 x 8 Outdoor Rug, Washable Floral Rug in Navy and Cream

If you need an area rug to define a patio or deck seating space, the GENIMO 5 x 8 outdoor rug brings a floral pattern and navy-and-cream color palette to the setting.

Its chenille surface adds a soft feel underfoot, while the low-pile design suits busy areas where crumbs, dirt, and pet hair can collect.

Use it indoors or outdoors: the rectangular shape works in spaces such as a porch, balcony, sunroom, or living room, and the washable construction makes routine cleanup practical.

Worth noting

The oversized floral design gives this rug more visual presence than a plain utility mat, making it a useful choice when you want a floor covering to contribute to the room’s style as well as define an area. Navy and cream can complement coastal, modern, or farmhouse décor, while the tropical styling adds a distinct pattern to a deck, porch, or indoor space.

The rug combines chenille and polyester with a breathable middle layer and a polyvinyl chloride backing. The backing is designed to help the rug stay in place on wood, tile, or concrete. Its low pile is suited to high-traffic areas and is described as resisting the buildup of pet hair, crumbs, and dirt. UV-resistant inks are used to help the colors resist fading from sun exposure.

Buyers often praise the colors and the soft texture underfoot. Feedback varies on drying time, outdoor performance, fading, and how thin or lightweight the rug feels, so those experiences are not uniform. The rug’s washable construction and indoor-outdoor design make it a flexible option for everyday spaces, while its specific appearance can help tie a seating area together.

Fit and sizing

This rectangular rug measures 5' x 8' (96"L x 60"W), giving a patio seating area, porch, or sunroom a defined footprint. It can also sit beneath a dining or living room arrangement where a floral accent and a soft surface are welcome. Before placing it, consider the furniture layout and the amount of floor area you want the rug to cover, its 5' x 8' format offers a clear area-rug shape rather than a narrow runner.

Usage tips

For regular upkeep, vacuum or shake out loose debris. When it needs a deeper refresh, the rug is machine washable, use a gentle cycle. Its breathable middle layer is designed for quick drying, though buyer experiences with drying time vary. Place it on a clean, level surface so the backing can make contact with the floor, whether you’re styling a patio, deck, balcony, or indoor room.

Final verdict

Choose the GENIMO rug when you want one floral area rug to bring color and a softer feel to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Its 5' x 8' rectangular format helps define a seating or gathering area, and the washable, low-pile construction supports practical use in rooms and high-traffic spots. It suits shoppers looking beyond a plain mat for a patterned floor accent that can work across a porch, deck, sunroom, or living area.
