Funmit B-Funmit-Louvered Vent Cover 6" Outdoor Dryer Vent Cover, Screened, White

For a dryer vent that opens onto an exterior wall, the Funmit 6-inch cover adds a screened, louvered outlet to help keep birds and other small animals from entering the duct. Its white plastic face measures 8 x 8 inches, giving the vent a finished exterior cover.

Choose this style when you want a protective hood with a screen rather than an open pipe outlet. The louvers are designed to support exhaust airflow while helping block wind, rain, and snow from entering the vent.

The cover fits standard 6-inch round dryer vent pipes and can also be used for bathroom or kitchen exhaust fans and van or RV AC exhaust fans. Four screws are included for mounting.

Practical tips

Position the cover over the exterior vent opening and fasten it with the included screws. The listed setup uses basic household tools. For routine care, the louver panels can be removed with a flat-head screwdriver, and the mesh screen can be removed for inspection and cleaning. Check the screen regularly and clear away lint as needed for your use environment, keeping the mesh clear helps reduce the chance of buildup obstructing the opening.

This cover suits a homeowner looking to add a screen and weather protection at the outlet. Someone prioritizing the simplest possible open vent design may prefer a different approach, this model brings the screen and louvers together in one exterior cover.

Why it makes sense

The built-in mesh screen provides a barrier against birds, rodents, and other small animals, while the louvered face helps shield the outlet from outdoor conditions. Its UV-resistant plastic is designed for exterior use, and the white finish gives the vent a neat, unobtrusive look on a house wall. The removable panels make inspection and cleaning more accessible than a cover that must stay assembled for maintenance.

Buyers often praise the straightforward installation, appearance, and help keeping pests out. Feedback is mixed on long-term durability and ventilation: some report satisfactory use, while others mention cracking or reduced airflow. Some also note that lint can collect on the screen. Regularly checking and cleaning the mesh is a practical part of using a screened dryer vent cover.

When it makes sense

It’s a great fit if you need a screened exterior cover for a compatible 6-inch dryer exhaust and want louvers, weather shielding, and a clean white face in one piece. It also serves listed bathroom and kitchen fan exhaust uses, as well as van or RV AC exhaust outlets. For an exterior vent where keeping small animals out and having access to the screen for cleaning matter, this Funmit cover combines those useful details with a defined 8 x 8-inch face.
