FULNIX Driveway Alarm with 3,000-ft Range

Best use cases

Some properties need a simple alert at the gate, others need coverage across a long driveway or several outbuildings. This FULNIX wireless driveway alarm is built for the latter kind of setup, with a claimed range of up to 3,000 ft in open, unobstructed conditions.

Place the outdoor motion sensor where vehicles or people approach, then keep the rechargeable receiver nearby—inside the house, in a garage, or out in the yard. It does not require Wi-Fi, an app, wiring, or a subscription.

The sensor can also be used around gates, barns, and other monitored areas. Different chimes help distinguish zones if you add compatible sensors.

Product specs

The sensor has a built-in 2,500mAh rechargeable battery, solar charging, and USB-C backup charging. The stated runtime is up to two years on a full charge under typical conditions, actual results depend on use and conditions. Its IP65 weatherproof housing is designed for outdoor exposure to rain, snow, and dust.

The receiver has a built-in 5,000mAh battery and is rated for up to 30 days based on approximately 10 alerts per day. It offers 37 chimes, 10 volume levels, an automatic flashing LED, and one-touch mute. The motion sensor has two sensitivity settings: High detects up to 55 ft, while Low detects up to 32 ft. Each sensor has its own on/off switch, and the system can expand to 84 compatible sensors.

Where it shines

The useful distinction here is not just distance. Adjustable sensitivity lets you choose a wider detection area for a long entrance or a shorter one near a mailbox, gate, or walkway, where unnecessary alerts may be more disruptive. How helpful is a long-range alert if you have to stay beside a wall outlet? The portable receiver addresses that: you can carry it between rooms, the workshop, porch, or backyard.

Setup is designed around a three-step pairing process with voice prompts, rather than a connected app. From the way it is set up, it suits someone who wants local alerts and zone-specific chimes without adding a Wi-Fi-dependent system. Still, the 3,000-ft figure is for open, unobstructed conditions, so obstacles may limit practical coverage.

When it makes sense

Worth considering if you want to know when a vehicle, visitor, or large animal reaches a driveway or other approach, and would value a receiver that can move with you. It’s not for you if you need app notifications, remote monitoring, or a stated guarantee of the maximum range across buildings or other obstructions, those features are not listed.

Compared with a basic single-area alert, the expandable design offers more ways to distinguish monitored locations, while its adjustable sensor sensitivity helps tailor detection to the spot. If you only need one simple alert point, the extra zone and expansion features may matter less. For a long entrance or several areas around a property, they give you more flexibility without requiring Wi-Fi or professional installation.
