EWO'S RCRUS-22 Roku TV Replacement Remote with Infrared and App Shortcuts

Infrared control and dedicated streaming shortcuts make the EWO'S RCRUS-22 a straightforward replacement for a compatible Roku TV remote. Its buttons provide quick access to Netflix, Disney, Hulu, and VUDU. The remote is designed for one television, keeping its role simple in a living room or bedroom setup.

How to use it

Insert two AAA 1.5V batteries, then point the remote toward a compatible TV to use its infrared control. No programming or setup is required. The stated maximum range is 35 feet, which gives you room to operate the TV from a typical seating area. The dedicated Netflix, Disney, Hulu, and VUDU buttons put those services within easy reach when you want to open them from the remote.

This replacement is for Roku TVs from Hisense, TCL, Onn, Sharp, Philips, Westinghouse, Insignia, Element, JVC, RCA, and Sanyo. Listed compatible Hisense models include the 32H4030F3, 40H4030F1, 43R6090G, 50R6090G, and 65R6090G. It is made for a Roku TV, not a separate Roku streaming player, stick, box, or other Roku media device. Checking that your device is a compatible Roku TV helps match the remote to the right part of your setup.

Why it’s worth it

A damaged or misplaced TV remote can make everyday viewing less convenient. This model offers a direct replacement approach: infrared operation, button control, and shortcut keys for four named streaming services, without a programming step. Its ergonomic feature is intended to make the remote comfortable to handle during regular TV use.

Compared with a multi-device controller, this remote has a focused role: it supports one device, a compatible television. That makes it a practical fit when the goal is to replace a Roku TV remote rather than manage several pieces of home entertainment equipment with one controller. For a quick evening routine, you can pick up the remote, aim it at the TV, and use a service shortcut to get to your preferred streaming app.

Key takeaways

The RCRUS-22 uses infrared and has a stated maximum range of 35 feet. It features shortcut buttons for Netflix, Disney, Hulu, and VUDU, and is designed for compatible Roku TVs across the listed brands. Operation starts by inserting two AAA 1.5V batteries, batteries are not included. The remote does not require programming, so setup is limited to powering it and using it with a compatible TV.

Final verdict

Choose the EWO'S RCRUS-22 when you need a simple replacement remote for a compatible Roku TV and value direct access to four streaming-service shortcuts. Its infrared connection, no-programming setup, and single-TV focus suit everyday television use without adding a multi-device control setup.
