The privacy filter is the key distinction from a standard clear protector: it is designed to reduce visibility from side angles, while a conventional clear screen protector prioritizes an unobstructed view from different positions. ESR also describes the Armorite glass as providing up to 7X impact absorption and resistance to up to 110 lbs of pressure, along with protection against bumps and scratches. These features make it a practical choice for everyday screen coverage when privacy is part of the buying decision.

Everyday compatibility

This protector is made specifically for iPhone 18 Pro, so it suits owners looking for a screen accessory intended for that phone rather than a universal fit. The three-protector pack gives you multiple protectors for the same compatible model. The included UltraFit tray helps position the glass during application, and the cleaning kit supports screen preparation, read the instructions before installing.

Buyers often highlight the straightforward installation, with some reporting few or no bubbles. Feedback on privacy and screen clarity is mixed, as are comments on durability, some also report that edges do not stay adhered. These differing experiences are useful context when weighing the privacy-focused design against a standard clear protector.

Best use cases

The side-angle filter is suited to viewing messages or other screen content in public settings, at a shared desk, or while traveling, when people nearby may otherwise see the display. The glossy tempered glass also serves as a physical screen layer for everyday bumps and scratches. Choose this format when limiting off-angle visibility matters, a clear protector is the more direct alternative if side-view privacy is not a priority.
