SMARTDEVIL 3-Pack Privacy Screen Protector for iPhone 18 Pro Max, 9H Glass

Some people want a screen that’s easy to share, others need more privacy when checking messages or banking details in public. The SMARTDEVIL privacy screen protector is designed to narrow side viewing while keeping the display clear when viewed straight on.

Made for iPhone 18 Pro Max, this three-pack uses 9H tempered glass with a glossy finish. Its 28° privacy filter is intended for everyday use at work, on public transit, or in other shared spaces.

A low-profile 0.33mm design is described as Face ID friendly and suited to ProMotion 120Hz touch response and TrueDepth camera clarity. The package also features a SmartPull installation system for alignment and bubble control.

Tips for day-to-day use

A privacy filter is useful when you need to read or respond to something on your phone without making the display easy to view from the sides. On a commute, in an elevator, or at an open-office desk, the 28° viewing angle helps keep the screen more private while you look directly at it. For people who mainly want an unobstructed shared view, a standard clear protector serves a different purpose, this one prioritizes side-view privacy alongside screen protection.

For installation, the SmartPull system is designed to help align and seal the protector, and detailed guides are included to support setup. The set contains three protectors, so it offers multiple pieces for the same compatible phone. Its case-friendly design is described as fit-tested with hundreds of case designs, including Apple Clear Case with MagSafe and third-party cases.

What stands out

The privacy filter is the defining feature: it narrows the viewing angle so private messages and personal details are less visible from the side, while the front-facing view is designed to remain clear. That makes the protector particularly relevant for people who use their phone in close quarters rather than only at home or at a desk with a private screen.

SMARTDEVIL also describes the glass as offering up to 2X impact resistance and includes an oleophobic coating intended to reduce fingerprint buildup. The low-profile construction is designed to work with Face ID, the TrueDepth camera, and ProMotion touch response, bringing privacy, everyday screen protection, and touch use together in one accessory.

Buyer feedback is positive about the privacy function and general use, while experiences with durability, fit, and installation vary. Some report good protection and alignment, others mention cracks or bubbles during setup. These comments reflect differing user experiences, not a guaranteed outcome.

Final verdict

For iPhone 18 Pro Max owners who want a more private screen in public, this three-pack combines a 28° side-view filter with 9H tempered glass and a touch-focused, low-profile design. It is a practical choice when keeping screen content less visible to nearby viewers matters as much as day-to-day protection.
