Eillion XLarge Dog Door for Sliding Glass Doors, 3-Flap, Adjustable Height

The extra-large, three-flap format is designed for sliding glass doors and pets weighing up to 220 pounds. Its height adjusts from 75 7/8 to 81 inches to accommodate different slider frames. Need a convenient way to give a large pet access to the patio? This door combines a semi-transparent flap with magnetic closures and a safety lock.

Technical overview

The flap measures 13.4 inches wide by 23.7 inches high, providing a generous passage for large dogs and cats. A triple-flap design and double magnetic closures are intended to help limit drafts, rain, and wind, while the semi-transparent panel lets pets see through as they approach. A safety lock lets you control when your pet can pass through.

• Type: Sliding glass door pet door

• Flap dimensions: 13.4 inches wide by 23.7 inches high

The opening direction depends on which side of the glass door holds the unit: installed on the left, it opens inward, installed on the right, it opens outward. This fixed swing design is part of the door’s structure. Installation requires drilling holes in the door frame. For a proper fit, measure from the top track to the inner bottom track of the aluminum sliding door frame.

Best use cases

This model suits homes where a large pet needs a dedicated route between indoors and an outdoor area, while the sliding glass door remains part of the setup. Its adjustable height makes it useful for slider frames within the stated range, and the large flap gives bigger pets room to pass. The inward or outward swing can also help you choose a placement that works with the way people move through the space.

Compared with a basic single-flap pet opening, the three-flap construction and double magnetic closures offer a more layered approach to managing outdoor exposure. Buyer feedback is mixed: some appreciate the magnets and weatherstripping, while others report concerns about flap durability, fit, or weather resistance. That feedback makes careful frame measurement and choosing the correct installation side especially useful when planning the setup.

Everyday use

Once installed, the flap gives pets a direct way to move between the house and patio without requiring someone to open the sliding door each time. The semi-transparent panel offers a visible opening, and the safety lock provides a way to restrict access when needed. The adjustable frame height is the key fit detail for everyday use: measure the slider’s track-to-track height before installation, then select the left- or right-side placement based on the desired swing direction.

Before you decide

How do I measure for the adjustable height? Measure from the top track to the inner bottom track of the aluminum sliding door frame. The unit adjusts from 75 7/8 to 81 inches.

Which way will the flap swing? With the unit on the left side of the glass door, it opens inward. On the right side, it opens outward, the swing direction is fixed.

What does installation involve? Installation requires drilling holes in the door frame. Plan the position and opening direction before fitting the unit.

For households with a large cat or dog and a sliding glass door within the stated height range, this Eillion model brings together a roomy flap, adjustable frame height, magnetic closures, and an access lock. Measure the frame and choose the mounting side to match your space, then give your pet a dedicated passage to the patio.
