Product description
Dimora Silicone Super Absorbent wound dressings combine a fast-acting absorbent core and a gentle silicone contact layer for heavy exudate wounds, helping reduce dressing changes and skin trauma. Designed for clinical and home use, these 5" x 5" pads manage moderate to heavy exudate while supporting safer, less painful dressing changes.
Key features
The dressing converts exudate to gel in about one second according to the manufacturer, which helps reduce maceration and keeps the wound environment more stable. Breathable materials prevent excess compression as the pad absorbs fluid, and the 360° outward extension design improves elasticity so the dressing conforms to the skin and is less likely to pull away during movement. Note that these dressings swell as they absorb, so they are not suitable for dry wounds or wound cavities.
Technical details
- Name: Dimora Silicone Super Absorbent Wound Dressings
- Size: 5" x 5"
- Capacity: absorbs up to 20 times its own weight
- Material: silicone contact layer with SAP-composite absorbent core
- Format: self-adhesive heavy exudate wound care pads
Benefits
These dressings cut down on dressing changes thanks to a highly absorbent core that locks fluid into a gel, reducing leak risk and the burden of frequent care. The silicone contact layer adheres gently and repeatedly, making wound checks and changes less traumatic and safer for fragile skin. If you prioritize fewer dressing swaps and gentler removal, these pads offer a practical solution.
How to use it
Apply the silicone contact surface directly over a moderately to heavily exuding wound, smoothing edges to ensure adhesion. Check the dressing regularly and change it when saturation or leakage is visible. It’s a great fit if you need a gentle adhesive that supports repeated inspections without sticking to the wound bed, and worth considering if mobility or frequent movement risks dislodging standard pads.
Safety notes
Do not use on dry or low exuding wounds, eyes, mucous membranes, wound cavities, or third-degree burns. Do not use if there is known hypersensitivity to the product or its components.
