COSTWAY 24640US-CYPE Portable Top-Load Washer, 8.8 lb, Drain Pump

Ten preset programs give this compact washer more cycle choice than a basic portable model, while five water levels let you select an option for the load. Its top-load design and LED display make the controls easy to approach in a small laundry area.

The COSTWAY 24640US-CYPE holds up to 8.8 lb and combines washing with a separate dehydration function in one tub. A drain pump is included, and the machine is designed for freestanding residential use.

Its capacity is suited to smaller loads, not large batches that a full-size household washer can handle at once. That makes load size an important consideration if you are weighing a portable unit against a standard washer.

Practical tips

The five water levels and ten programs give you choices for routine laundry, while the separate wash and dehydration functions let you use either function on its own. For a practical setup, consider whether the machine’s listed dimensions fit the spot you plan to use and whether an 8.8 lb maximum load suits your usual laundry batches. The transparent lid lets you see the load during operation, the LED display and buttons provide the control interface.

The single tub also means washing and dehydration share the same drum rather than requiring a separate unit. The washer is listed at 43.5 lb, so it is portable in the sense of being a compact appliance, but its weight and dimensions still matter when choosing where it will sit. Automatic unbalance detection is intended to correct uneven distribution in the tub, and the child lock helps prevent the controls from being affected by children.

Buyer feedback often highlights the compact footprint, ease of use, and usefulness in apartments or other small spaces. Opinions about noise are mixed: some buyers describe it as quiet, while others report substantial noise. Treat that as a subjective point rather than a consistent expectation.

Included in the package

The listed package includes one washer and one manual. The product information does not list additional accessories, so the package details alone do not confirm that any particular connection hardware is included.

What to clarify

Can washing and dehydration be used separately? Yes. The product information says the two functions can be used separately.

Can you see the clothes while the washer is running? The lid is transparent, allowing you to view the load during use.

How does it handle an uneven load? An automatic unbalance detection mechanism is described as correcting uneven distribution in the tub and helping avoid vibration.

When it makes sense

It’s a great fit if you need a compact, fully automatic washer for smaller laundry loads and value having multiple programs, selectable water levels, and a drain pump in one appliance. Compared with relying on a more basic portable washer, the 10 programs and separate dehydration function offer more control within a compact format. It might not be a great match if your routine depends on washing large batches at once, the stated 8.8 lb capacity is the key limit to weigh before choosing it.
