OLIXIS AS-XYJ1508-3D5 Portable Washer, 1.06 Cu. Ft., Stainless Steel Drum

A full-size laundry routine and a compact washer solve different problems. The OLIXIS AS-XYJ1508-3D5 is a fully automatic, top-load portable washer with a 1.06 cu. ft. capacity, intended for residential use where space is limited and loads are small. Its stainless steel drum, 10 wash cycles, three water levels, and LED display make it more configurable than a basic manual mini washer, while the listed load range of 2.5 to 7.7 lbs helps set expectations for what fits in a cycle.

At 16.93 inches deep, 17.05 inches wide, and 29.13 inches high, it is designed for a compact footprint. The clear lid lets you see the load during a cycle, and the delay-start function can be set from 2 to 24 hours.

What to know

The cycle selection includes Normal, Quick Wash, Rinse, and Spin, alongside the stated total of 10 standard cycles. Automatic imbalance detection is intended to reduce shaking, and adjustable feet help the washer sit steadily on the floor. Controls are touch-operated, with a child lock also listed. These features may be useful in a dorm, apartment, or other home setting where a smaller washer and straightforward controls are priorities.

What matters most in a compact washer: cycle flexibility, or a setup that fits the available space? This model offers both a range of wash settings and a small footprint, but its drainage arrangement affects where it can be used. The washer drains by gravity, with no pump to push water upward, so the drain hose needs to lead to a lower outlet. Plan that route before settling on a location.

Buyer feedback is favorable about portability and quiet operation, and some reviewers describe good results on small everyday loads such as shirts, socks, and underwear. Experiences with performance and cleaning are mixed, however, some report that the washer worked well, while others describe it stopping after a few minutes or being less effective in the spin cycle. Those differing reports are worth weighing alongside the stated features rather than treating them as a guaranteed outcome.

How to use it

Choose a load within the stated 2.5-to-7.7-lb range, select a cycle and one of the three water levels, then use the delay-start setting if you want to schedule the wash. The included drain hose supports gravity drainage only. Position the hose so water can flow to a lower outlet, this washer cannot pump water upward. That requirement makes the drain route a key part of choosing a spot, especially in a tight bathroom or kitchen.

Practical tips

Measure the intended space against the washer’s listed dimensions, and leave room for the lid to open and for the drain hose to reach its outlet. A small load of everyday items is a more natural fit for this capacity than treating it as a replacement for a large household washer. Compared with a more demanding laundry setup, it trades load size for a compact format, compared with hand-washing or a basic non-automatic option, its multiple cycles and automatic operation offer more control.

It suits you if you need a portable washer for smaller residential loads and can arrange gravity drainage. You may want to skip it if your laundry location requires water to be pumped upward or you need to wash larger loads at once.

Is it worth it?

The OLIXIS is worth considering when a compact, fully automatic washer addresses a real space constraint and its capacity matches your routine. Stainless steel drum construction, 10 cycles, delay start, and imbalance detection provide useful features for that role. The main decision is practical rather than cosmetic: confirm the washer fits, and that its hose can drain to a lower outlet. If those conditions work for your space, it offers a more hands-off approach to small loads, if you need larger batches or powered upward drainage, a different washer setup is a better match.
