COMFEE' CVG30W9AST 30-Inch Wall-Mount Range Hood, 450 CFM

Highlights

Gesture sensing lets you adjust airflow with a hand wave, while touch controls offer a direct alternative. That flexibility is useful when you’re cooking and want to operate the hood without reaching for a button.

The three-speed fan provides airflow up to 450 CFM to help capture cooking fumes, smoke, and odors. Two LED lights illuminate the cooking area, and the curved-glass design paired with brushed stainless steel gives the wall-mounted hood a clean, modern profile.

Buyers often praise the appearance, performance, and hands-free controls. Feedback on noise is mixed, so the three fan speeds let you select the airflow setting that suits the task. Compared with a hood limited to ducted ventilation, this model also offers a recirculating installation option for kitchens where that setup is more practical.

Fit and sizing

The hood measures 30 inches wide, 19.7 inches deep, and 30.8 inches high. Its adjustable chimney height ranges from 17.6 to 30.8 inches, offering flexibility for different installation layouts. This is a wall-mount canopy hood, so plan its placement above the cooking area as part of a wall installation.

For ducted ventilation, the hood exhausts air through a duct. For recirculating use, a separate cotton filter is required. Choosing between these modes comes down to your kitchen’s ventilation setup and the installation you want.

How to use it

Select one of the three fan speeds with the touch panel or use gesture sensing to change airflow hands-free. The two LED lights provide task lighting over the range. For routine cleaning, detach the stainless steel baffle filters, they are dishwasher safe, making grease cleanup straightforward. The smooth touch surface can be wiped down to keep the control area clean.

During installation, use the included hood fixing bracket, chimney fixing bracket, screws, wall plugs, instruction manual, and installation drawing. Follow the manual’s steps to mount the hood and set up the chosen ventilation mode. If using recirculation, obtain the separate cotton filter required for that configuration.

What to clarify

Can it be installed without ductwork? Yes. The hood supports recirculating installation as well as ducted exhaust. Recirculating use requires a separately purchased cotton filter.

How can the fan be controlled? Use either gesture sensing or the touch panel, with three fan speeds available. This gives you a hands-free option as well as conventional touch operation.

How do you clean the grease filters? The stainless steel baffle filters detach and are dishwasher safe. This makes regular grease cleanup easier than handling a fixed filter.

Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want a 30-inch wall-mounted hood with both ducted and recirculating installation options, up to 450 CFM of airflow, and gesture or touch controls. The adjustable chimney, two LED lights, and removable dishwasher-safe baffle filters add practical flexibility for everyday cooking. Choose the ventilation mode that suits your kitchen, then use the three-speed fan and hands-free control to manage airflow while you cook.
