Clip-on Reading Lamp, 4000mAh Battery

Readers, students, and anyone who wants light near a bed or desk without keeping a cord plugged in may appreciate this clip-on lamp. Its rechargeable battery, adjustable brightness, and choice of light colors give it more flexibility than a basic single-setting book light.

The tradeoff is that the listing doesn’t give the clamp’s dimensions, so you can’t confirm its fit for a particular headboard or shelf from the available details. Its advertised runtime also varies with brightness, which matters if you plan to use it at full output for long stretches.

Technical details

The lamp has 48 LEDs, a stated output of 450 lumens, and a built-in 4000mAh battery. You can choose from five light colors, listed as 3000K–6500K, and nine brightness levels for each color. A memory function is included to recall the last-used setting. That makes the range useful for switching between a brighter reading setup and softer light when someone else is sleeping nearby.

The listing also specifies a CRI of Ra≥90 and a flexible gooseneck for adjusting the direction of the light. These details suggest a more adjustable setup than a small book light with one fixed beam, though they don’t tell you how wide an area the lamp illuminates in practice.

Requirements

Charging uses a USB-C port, and the lamp is cordless while in use. The stated runtime is 5–48 hours on a full charge, depending on the brightness setting. An adapter is not included, so you’ll need a compatible power adapter or another suitable USB power source to recharge it. If you’re choosing it for a dorm or bedside setup, think about where you’ll charge it as well as where you’ll clip it.

Usage tips

For bedtime reading, clip the lamp to a suitable edge and bend the gooseneck so the light falls across the page instead of directly toward your eyes or a sleeping partner. Start with a lower brightness and raise it only as needed. For drawing, sewing, or other detail work, a brighter setting and a color option that suits the task may be more useful, the memory function can save you from resetting your preferred combination each time.

A solid pick if you want one rechargeable light that can move between a headboard, desk, or bookshelf and offers more than a single brightness setting. You may want to skip it if you need confirmed clamp measurements before buying or expect the longest listed runtime while using the brightest setting. On the spec sheet, its versatility is the draw, the missing clamp-fit details are the main practical unknown.

Before you decide

Does it need to stay plugged in while you use it? No. The built-in battery allows cordless use, and the stated runtime ranges from 5 to 48 hours depending on brightness.

Can you change the light output? Yes. There are five color options and nine brightness levels for each, plus a memory function for the last-used setting.

Does it come with a charging adapter? No. The listing says an adapter is not included, charging is through USB-C.

Final verdict

Choose this lamp if adjustability and cordless placement matter more to you than having a known clamp size upfront. It offers more control than a fixed-output book light and can serve several spots around a room, but the unspecified clamp dimensions make fit the detail to weigh carefully. For a particular headboard or shelf, this is a better buy when you can confirm that its clamp will suit the edge you plan to use.
