ChalkLit CL18 LED Dog Harness, Medium Green, USB-Rechargeable Mesh Vest
Product description
The essentials
The medium ChalkLit CL18 is a green nylon dog harness with soft, breathable mesh and integrated lighting. Its illuminated design helps make your dog easier to see during walks after dark. Need a harness that also gives you a leash attachment point? The D-ring provides a place to clip the leash, while the adjustable straps help tailor the fit.
A wide light strip is designed for 360-degree illumination, giving the harness visibility from multiple directions. The light is USB rechargeable, and the battery pack can be removed for cleaning. Two opening buckles make the harness easy to put on and take off without pulling it over your dog’s head. The design combines visibility, a leash connection, and an adjustable vest-style fit in one piece of walking gear.
Buyers often praise the brightness and ease of putting the harness on, including its visibility on dark-coated dogs. Feedback is mixed on battery life, fit, durability, and whether the lights continue working over time, so the harness is best understood as a practical visibility aid rather than a substitute for keeping your dog close and supervised on nighttime outings.
Fit and sizing
This version is size Medium and is recommended for medium and large dogs. Adjustable straps at the neck and chest let you adapt the fit to your dog, while the two-buckle closure simplifies getting the vest on and off. For a comfortable fit, leave about two fingers of space between the harness and your dog, as advised in the product instructions. A properly adjusted harness is especially useful when your dog moves between a relaxed walk and a more active outing.
The nylon harness has a soft cotton lining and breathable mesh outer layer. That vest construction offers a wearable alternative to a basic collar when you want a broader, lighted surface that can be seen while walking. Hand wash the harness, removing the battery pack first.
Best use cases
Use the CL18 for evening walks, early-morning outings, jogging, training, or other outdoor activities when visibility matters. The integrated lighting helps distinguish your dog in low-light surroundings, while the D-ring gives you a direct leash attachment point for routine control. For example, on a neighborhood walk after sunset, the lighted vest can help you keep track of your dog as you move along the route. It is a useful choice for owners who want lighting built into a harness rather than relying only on a separate clip-on light.
The rechargeable design suits regular walks: connect the battery to USB for charging, with a stated full-charge time of 1.5 hours. Removing the battery before hand washing also makes it easier to care for the mesh vest.
Practical questions
How do you charge the light? Remove the battery pack and charge it using USB. The product lists a full-charge time of 1.5 hours.
Can you adjust the harness for your dog? Yes. The neck and chest straps are adjustable, and the two opening buckles let you put it on without pulling it over your dog’s head. Leave about two fingers of space for fit.
How should you clean it? Hand wash the harness and remove the battery pack before cleaning.
