ChalkLit CL18 Light-Up Dog Harness, Blue XL, Adjustable Mesh with USB-Rechargeable LEDs

Some dog walks call for more than a standard harness: visibility matters when you and your dog are out in low light. The ChalkLit CL18 combines an illuminated design with an adjustable vest-style fit, so your dog is easier to spot while you keep the leash attached at the harness’s D-ring.

For evening walks, park visits, or outdoor outings, the blue XL harness pairs a wide light strip with breathable mesh and quick-release buckles.

Key features

The light strip is designed to provide 360-degree illumination, helping make your dog more visible from different angles in the dark. The product listing states visibility up to 500 feet. That added visibility can be useful along dim paths and during early-morning or evening walks, when seeing your dog clearly is especially important.

The harness is USB rechargeable, and its battery can be detached for cleaning. A USB charging cable is included. The vest combines a mesh outer layer with a soft cotton lining, while the adjustable straps let you tailor the fit around your dog’s neck and chest. Two openable buckles make it easy to put on and remove without pulling the harness over your dog’s head. Attach the leash to the D-ring when you need to guide your dog on a walk.

Fit and sizing

This listing is for the blue XL, described as Extra Large and intended for medium and large dogs. The adjustable neck and chest straps help you customize the fit, and the buckle closure makes dressing straightforward. The product guidance recommends leaving about two fingers of space between the harness and your dog. Use that as a practical fit check while adjusting the straps so the vest sits comfortably and stays in place.

Tips for day-to-day use

Charge the harness with the USB cable, and detach the battery before hand washing the vest. This makes it easier to care for the mesh without washing the battery along with it. Before a night walk, switch on the light and attach the leash to the D-ring, the illuminated vest can help you keep track of your dog while walking, jogging, or visiting a park.

Buyers often appreciate how easy the harness is to put on and how visible it makes dogs at night. Feedback is mixed on battery life, fit, durability, and continued lighting performance, so keeping the straps adjusted and checking the lights before heading out are sensible parts of regular use.

When it makes sense

The ChalkLit CL18 suits owners looking for a light-up harness that combines nighttime visibility with a vest-style fit, rather than relying on a separate light accessory. Its adjustable straps, buckle entry, mesh construction, and leash D-ring bring several everyday functions together in one harness. For low-light walks with a medium or large dog, the XL blue version offers a practical way to add illumination while keeping leash attachment at the harness.
