For outdoor listening, IPX5 protection is suited to splashes and light rain, not partial or full submersion.

Compatibility & requirements

Connect wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet, or computer over Bluetooth, compatible Echo devices are also listed as supported. The speaker can be used with a wired audio source through its 3.5 mm AUX input. A battery powers the speaker, so you can set it down where you want to listen without keeping it connected to a power outlet. For the advertised Bluetooth range, keep the connection unobstructed.

Compared with a stationary speaker intended to stay in one room, this portable design is made for listening across different spaces. Set it on a kitchen counter while you work, take it to a small gathering, or bring it along for poolside and camping use. Its compact dimensions make placement simple, while the wireless connection lets your phone or tablet stay with you.

Getting the most from it

For longer listening between charges, the stated playtime of up to 24 hours applies at two-thirds volume. Pair a phone or tablet for wireless playback, or connect a compatible audio source through AUX. The built-in microphone also gives the speaker a practical role during hands-free calls, so it can serve more than one purpose at home or while moving between rooms.

Buyers often highlight the sound and volume for a compact speaker, along with its size and Bluetooth pairing. Those impressions make it especially appealing for casual listening where portability matters as much as having music available nearby. Choose it when you want one speaker that can move from indoor listening to outdoor settings without relying on a fixed setup.

Practical questions

Can it be used near a pool or in the shower? Its IPX5 rating covers splashes, light rain, and gentle water spray, making those settings appropriate. It is not designed for partial or full submersion.

Can I listen without Bluetooth? Yes. Connect an audio source through the 3.5 mm AUX input for wired playback.

Can it handle calls? The built-in microphone supports speakerphone calls, so you can talk hands-free while the speaker is nearby.

Is it worth it?
