California Design Den 840307159694 600-Thread-Count California King Cotton Sateen Sheets, Light Gray

If you need sheets sized for a California king mattress, this set is made for one California king bed. Its 100% long-staple cotton sateen has a smooth feel and subtle sheen. The fitted sheet’s all-around elastic helps keep it in place. Light gray adds a soft, neutral finish to the bed.

Key takeaways

This four-piece set includes a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, and two king pillowcases. The fabric is 100% long-staple cotton in a 600-thread-count sateen weave, combining a smooth hand feel with a breathable fabric described for year-round comfort. That makes it a practical choice for shoppers who want a refined, gently lustrous look without choosing a patterned design: the light gray color is solid and has a cool undertone.

The fitted sheet has a 16-inch pocket and all-around elastic, and is designed for mattresses 8–16 inches deep. Head and foot indicator tags make it easier to orient when making the bed. The set is independently tested to earn the Good Housekeeping Seal, and the fabric carries OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification for testing for harmful substances.

Fit and sizing

Choose this set for a standard California king mattress, not a split king. The fitted sheet measures 72 inches by 84 inches and fits mattresses from 8 to 16 inches deep. The flat sheet measures 108 inches by 106 inches, while each of the two pillowcases measures 21 by 40 inches. Their classic open-end design keeps the pillowcases simple to use.

The all-around elastic supports a secure fit around the mattress, while the top-and-bottom tags help identify the fitted sheet’s orientation during bed-making. These details are useful when changing bedding on a larger mattress, where positioning the sheet can take more attention than on a smaller bed.

Practical tips

Machine wash warm and tumble dry low. Removing the sheets promptly after drying can help reduce wrinkles. The fabric has been tested for shrinkage, pilling, and fading, supporting straightforward care as part of a regular bedding routine.

When choosing between sheet sets, shoppers can prioritize different things: a crisp, plain look, a particular color, or a smoother fabric feel. This set puts the emphasis on cotton sateen’s smooth finish and subtle sheen, with a solid light gray color that keeps the overall look understated. The breathable cotton and year-round positioning also make it suitable for regular use across seasons.

Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you want California king sizing, a smooth cotton sateen feel, and a light neutral color in one coordinated set. The fitted sheet’s all-around elastic and 8–16-inch mattress fit help address everyday bed-making needs, while the included flat sheet and two pillowcases complete the setup for one bed. For shoppers who value fabric feel as much as appearance, the long-staple cotton weave offers a clear reason to choose this set over one selected mainly for color or a different texture.
