California Design Den 840307158499 Split King Sheet Set, 600-Thread-Count Cotton Sateen, Mist Gray

Choosing sheets for a split king means fitting two separate mattresses while keeping a coordinated look across the bed. This California Design Den set pairs two Twin XL fitted sheets with one king flat sheet, so each side has its own fitted layer without giving up a unified top layer.

Made from 100% long-staple cotton in a 600-thread-count sateen weave, the fabric has a smooth feel and subtle sheen. The mist gray solid color brings a balanced, understated tone to the bedroom.

Practical tips

The split king format is designed for beds with two separate Twin XL mattresses. Each mattress gets its own fitted sheet, while the king flat sheet spans both sides. That layout is useful when two sleepers want separately fitted mattresses but prefer one shared top sheet. The top-and-bottom indicator tags help identify how to position each fitted sheet when making the bed, and the all-around elastic is designed to hold it in place.

Sateen gives the cotton a smooth surface and a soft sheen, while the long-staple cotton construction offers a substantial, structured feel. The fabric is described as breathable for year-round use, making the set suitable for everyday bedding across the seasons. For routine care, machine wash warm and tumble dry low, removing the sheets promptly from the dryer can help reduce wrinkles.

Buyers often highlight the soft feel, comfort, appearance, and fit, with some saying the fabric feels softer after washing. Feedback on durability and wrinkle resistance is mixed: some report that the sheets wear well or resist wrinkles, while others describe tearing or easy wrinkling. These are individual experiences rather than a guarantee of how a set will perform.

What you get

The five-piece set includes one king flat sheet, two Twin XL fitted sheets, and two king pillowcases. The open-end pillowcase design keeps the finish simple, while the mist gray solid color coordinates easily with a range of bedding styles.

Final verdict

For a split king made from two separate mattresses, this set offers a practical alternative to using one fitted sheet across the whole bed: each mattress gets its own Twin XL fitted sheet, and a king flat sheet ties the arrangement together. A solid pick if you want long-staple cotton sateen, a smooth feel, and a coordinated five-piece setup for everyday use.
