Burlap Fabric Roll, 40" x 7 Feet

The 100% natural jute construction gives this burlap roll a breathable, textured surface for garden protection and rustic DIY projects. At 40 inches wide and 7 feet long, it can be cut to fit a tree trunk, a patch of soil, or a craft project without buying a larger roll than the job calls for.

Its stitched, reinforced edges are intended to help the fabric hold together during handling. It’s a simple material with several possible uses, but the roll length is finite, so larger garden areas may call for more coverage.

How it fits

For a young tree or shrub, you can cut a section, wrap it around the trunk, and secure it with rope. That makes the roll useful when you want a natural-fiber cover against exposure to frost, wind, or sun. It can also be laid over soil as a cover or weed barrier, or cut for landscaping and seasonal garden tasks. The fabric’s breathable weave allows air and moisture to pass through, that can be useful around plants, though it also means this isn’t a solid, impermeable sheet.

Outside the garden, the coarse jute texture suits projects where a rustic finish is part of the look. Picture it cut into a table runner or used to wrap a gift: the material itself provides a noticeable natural texture, without needing a printed pattern. Would a smaller cut piece work better than a purpose-made decorative runner? If you want a flexible material you can shape yourself, this roll gives you that freedom, a finished decor item is the more straightforward choice when you need an exact size or polished edge.

Worth considering if you want one roll for plant covering and occasional craft use. It’s not for you if you need a precise, ready-to-install ground barrier for a broad area or a smooth, finished fabric for formal decor.

Pros

• Made from 100% natural jute, with a breathable weave.
• The 40-inch width and 7-foot length provide material to cut for different tasks.
• Reinforced selvage edges and stitched construction are intended to make the fabric easier to handle.
• Can be used for tree wrapping, soil covering, landscaping, and rustic decorations.

The trade-off is that a cut-to-fit roll requires some preparation: you’ll need to measure and trim pieces yourself, and the stated length may limit how much ground or how many plants you can cover. For a larger landscaping job, a longer roll or a barrier made specifically for that installation may be a better fit. From the way it is set up, this is better suited to adaptable, small-scale jobs than to a project where exact coverage is the main priority.

Spec sheet

• Material: 100% natural jute
• Size: 40 inches wide x 7 feet long
• Construction: Dense mesh with stitched edges and reinforced selvage edges

No weight, thickness measurement, or care instructions are provided, so those details can’t be used to judge how it will perform in a specific installation. If you’re choosing it for a particular bed or tree, compare the roll’s stated dimensions with the area you intend to cover before cutting.

Buying verdict

Choose this burlap fabric roll when you want breathable natural jute that can move between garden protection and hands-on craft projects. The ability to cut it to size is its main practical advantage over a pre-sized cover, especially for a one-off tree wrap or a small decorative piece. The limitation is just as clear: it arrives as a 7-foot roll, not a tailored cover or a complete landscaping system. For a focused job where that amount of fabric is enough, it’s a useful flexible material, for extensive weed control or a finished decor piece, a product made to those exact needs is likely more convenient.
